ControlAni's Vectoring & Coloring
0
I figured I'd share my vectoring with you guys here. I only have one image that I can share at the moment, though.
I'm relatively new to vectoring, but I've been doing image coloring for a while (sadly I no longer have any examples to show on this computer). If anyone would like me to vector and/or color their picture feel free to ask.
I have a video showing 40 minutes of vector work (condensed into 5 minutes) to show you, as well as one image I've vectored.
The Video
I apologize again for not having anything else to show, but the only other stuff I have is attributed to another username which I would prefer to keep separate from this one.
Also, I wouldn't mind constructive criticism either.
Edit: I felt I should talk about some of the things I use. For more "traditional" coloring I use Photoshop CS4 with my Wacom Bamboo pad. For vectoring I use Illustrator CS4 and my mouse. For editing video I use After Effects CS4 and Handbrake/VirtualDub for the final processing.

Nice to see someone that actually does this...
vectoring does not seem to be appreciated much these days.....though it is more than useful when done right.
It's practice more than anything...I look forward to seeing more of your work...

It's probably because vectoring is pretty much glorified tracing. However, I like how vectored images look since I'm a fan of clean, solid lines.
I'll try to get some more images done so I have a bit more to show. The Kenshin image I'm working on in that video is using a style of vectoring I haven't done before.
Basically, you create a silhouette of the image and layer the colors on top of that. It's supposed to make more natural looking lines instead of the uniform size/shape lines that normal pen vectoring has.

It's been a while since my last post. I'm still working on the images in the last video (I'm slow, I know.), so I figured I'd put together a quick chibi vector. The original image was done by an artist named "Takeshiko". You can view the original here.
Here's the video showing the work on the outline that I've done and the outline will be after it. As with the first video, you can go to the Youtube page for the video to read the description to find out the music that's playing.

The reason I left the big black shading alone is so I can just grab that on a different layer more easily. I was doing outlines, so I felt black shading didn't really fit with the whole outline thing. Also, yea, I know I missed her left hand. I'll finish that up later.
Any comments, criticisms, or questions?

Anybody know why images uploaded to imgur won't show up here?
I guess I'll just use tinypic to embed, and imgur for the full sized images since tinypic seems to resize images after a certain size.

Anyway, here's a thing I did. Click this to get a fullsize version from Imgur.

Yes, it's a vector of Pedobear. I don't know why I did it, really. I was having a conversation in IRC and something that was said compelled me to.
