Controlling your dreams
Can you control your dreams?
0
hmm i havent had a dream in ages to be honest let alone i cant control them if i could i would have woken up not as pissed as i would have in the past, when i have my dreams they always end up exactly how i dont want them to...*sigh* sadly alot of dreams i had were mostly random dreams and very fearful dreams mainly ones that pertained to all my fears considering the fact i was a very timid person and still is but not as timid as before thanks to my ipod i end up going to bed peacefuly with some clannad ost's. my best guess for why im not having anymore dreams is possibly the ipod im not sure but i wont rule it out

Dreams are a manifestation of desire, frustration or a mix up of what happened during the day~ This is my own thought on dreams of course but I also believe in it because I've had up until I was a child either no dreams or crazy ass dreams that make absolutely no sense what so ever. Its like a fucking carnival in my head~Dx (excuse my language) But Im guessing I just dont have a desire for anything, fear or worry so I ended up dreaming about a whole bunch of stuff mushed together. Tis rather annoying and sad at the same time when you cant even dream decently~

I used to have more power in the lucid dreaming field, but for some reason as of late, I don't really have a lot of consciousness in my dreams. But at least I can still wake myself up if someone is unpleasant.

I haven't been able to ludidly dream in the past few years nearly as much as when I was 10-14 or so.
Pretty sure my dreams would mainly be about sex if I could control them.

since most of my dreams are precognitive, I can't change them or even realize that it's a dream(since it's actually a moment in the future). If i could have normal dreams and manipulate them I'd probably try to be god by destroying and creating as I please.

I can control my dreams pretty well (when I realize I'm dreaming) and just last night I realized I was dreaming and I was about to wake up in the middle of the night and even started to see my actual cieling of my room whilst in the dream. I concentrated really hard and eventually fell back into the dream. I've also heard that if you say 'Increase Lucidity' in your dream you gain more control over it and your brain realizes that this is just a mental image and not real.

8DDD I DO IT ALL THE TIME 8DDD
But sadly, lately, I've been having nightmares and trouble with differentiating reality with the dreams. :c Just last night I had a dream about turning off the heater in my room and putting it aside my door, but in reality I've been letting it go off until 5...

It is possible. I have complete control of my dreams 90-95% of the times. The only times I don't is when I haven't slept for like 24 hours or I watch to many scary movies in one sitting. I like this ability because you always enjoy your dream this way.

Hmm...interesting! Never thought about that seriously. With practice, this might actually become quite effective. I remembered there's one time I played Fable for hours, and in my dream, I'm my character who is still trying to collect items and fight monsters. I'll give it a shot tonight. But if I want to have a wet dream, can I still DIY before I go to bed? Guess, ll find out :3

I'm not actually sure if you can have a wet dream when youve already DIY. However, it's definitely worth a shot. I for one have been having a lot of trouble with the methods I mentioned earlier, although it's true that i'm not putting a lot of effort into it. If it actually works for anyone, please let me know.

Usually I start thinking of something right before I go to sleep so that I end up dreaming about it. Works like a charm.
Dreaming about Nami is nice =)

i can't control my dream, but i always know it's a dream when i am there. So when i finally discover i'm dreaming, i then proceed to rape every woman (always attractive ones) that walk past. It's not rape because they never seem to mind

I naturally have lucid dreams, but whether I can control it or not depends on the dream. Often if I'm already in a setting, I can manipulate things, but I can't rearrange the scenery. I did have dream where I told myself to teleport from my house to a neighbour's house to search for something. Other times I can stop time in my dreams and walk around. It sucks on nights when I try to concentrate and I can't change much. If I'm tense in my dream, then I'm unable to make larger changes, but generally if I tell myself to relax then I can make bigger alterations.

This year I am starting to know how to control my dream a bit. Sadly, my dreams still kicking my butt when I do. Few days ago I had a great dream until one of my buddies who was into furry rudely mess up my dream. When I woke up the whole day I wanted to get him back even though it was a dream.

I've never been able to control what dreams I've had but I have been able to remember them for the whole day then forget. Scientists are working on a machine that will be able to record your dreams that will be cool :) so far they have it where you think of a image and this machine shows it on a screen.

I have done this before; quite regularly as well.
When it first happened to me, I was very curious as to what is was. Did some research; ended finding out it was called Lucid Dreaming (been said before but that's beside the point). As such, I started training myself to do it more often. I won't go into the details, but they're freely available over the web, and different sites say pretty much the same thing.
When I did this, after a about 2 weeks I noticed a definite increase in the amount lucid dreams I had. They soon became a nightly pleasure. However, after I went to University, my sleeping pattern went out of focus. I also didn't do the daily training exercises either. As such, my ability to lucid dream has greatly diminished. I can still do it, but only on rare occasions.
However, when you are dreaming, there are a series of tests you can do to test whether you are lucid dreaming:
1)Try to poke your finger through your hand. If you are lucid dreaming, it will slide straight through.
2)Look at any item with writing/numbers on it i.e. a clock or book. Look away, then look back again. If you are lucid dreaming, the writing/numbers will have changed. If not, try again later.
3)Try to fly. This is easier done than explained. Just...do it. If you are lucid dreaming, you'll just do it.
You may be wondering why I'm explaining these things; "Oh, if you can do the test consciously, that means you're lucid dreaming". No, it doesn't. There's a difference between "interacting with your dream" and "lucid dreaming".
I remember one time when I was lucid dreaming I was running away from some wolves - random I know - so I fly to escape them, then I did a strafing run with guns mounted out of my hands XD However, I stopped flying and gunning, crashed to the ground and was about to get mauled then;
I woke up.
It's seriously worth learning to lucid dream. Anyone can do it. I should try and get back into it, but ya know...
