you know. strangley enouge thats a realy good question. ive never realy though of why do i cry before, the obvious answer is becease im sad but im trying to figure out how an emotion can trigger a direct physical response. i think its kinda on the same level of the feeling i get when i decieded to propose to my girlfreind. it was.. indescribable.

no i do not not find this strange at all because this in history keeps us alive the fear of dieing can force you to kill other's for the sake of it some people lack the survival instinct drive.

ah. i see i see now. and thats not exactley what i ment. i mean everyone understands fear and it makes htem do things like run away or fight. but in they end THEY decide to fight or run. sure there influanced by the fear but still. they make the choice. what im talking about is emotions being so strong that you can physicley feel them. and not just know what they are in your mind. like love when you feel the fluttering in your chest. [how it was for me anyway] that kinda thing.

Tears protect our eyes from dust and other particles. There’s a layer under the upper eyelids that produce a salty liquid i.e. tear, which gets spread throughout the eye after each blink. Three types of tears are formed by the human eye. First one is those tears which protect the eye and keep it moist. Second one generates when the eye becomes irritated because of infusion of some dust particles in the eye. And, the last one is the emotional tears which gets appeared in response to some physical pain, sadness, mental stress, anger and sometimes even due to laughter.
Crying communicates your feelings of sadness to others. It is used to express our emotions. Well anyway, there are many theories about why people cry emotional tears but not yet proven as true.

Crying - Wikipedia
In a nutshell:
Tears produced during emotional crying have a chemical composition which differs from other types of tears. They contain significantly greater quantities of hormones prolactin, adrenocorticotropic hormone, Leu-enkephalin and the elements potassium and manganese.
- Response to inflicted pain, to the more complex, including nonverbal communication in order to elicit "helping" behaviour from others.
- elimination of hormones associated with stress, specifically adrenocorticotropic hormone. This, paired with increased mucosal secretion during crying, could lead to a theory that crying is a mechanism developed in humans to dispose of this stress hormone when levels grow too high.
- Emotional tears have also been put into an evolutionary context. One study proposes that crying, by blurring vision, can handicap aggressive or defensive actions, and may function as a reliable signal of appeasement, need, or attachment.
