Currently Visiting Japan 〜( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

A friend and I are currently visiting Japan. We have been here since December 20th and are staying until January 3rd. We're staying within walking distance to Akihabara (about a 15 minute walk). This is my third time in Japan. The past two trips I took were extensively going to maid cafes with the occasional butler and cat cafe~
I was just wondering what you would do if you were in Japan or if you have any suggestions of where to go/what to do!! : D

stalk high schoolers
Go down to Tsukishima station (by train obviously) and head to Monja street.eat a lot of delicious okonomiyaki.
stalk middle schoolers
Yep the first and the last ideas could be described by some as "illegal".Dont try it.Unless you plan to get a lot of fan service shots, post on the Internet, and turn yourselves in.That would be fine.

Ok, I have a question for you since you have frequented Japan several times.
I want to visit Japan at least once in my life, probably more often if I can afford to do so. However, I don't speak Japanese at all, aside from the few choice words I've learned after watching countless anime. Would that be a big problem? Not being able to speak or read the language? From what I've seen, just about all the signs have English in there as well but I'd rather hear from someone that's been there firsthand.

@Gism88: Well, I think it's generally hard to avoid "regular tourist attractions" in Japan since almost everything is a tourist attraction in the Tokyo area, but I get what you're saying.
@animefreak: those are some quality suggestions right there lol
@Darkhilt: I am actually not a big fan of okonomiyaki, despite how delicious it looks.
@Casm: I've only been in the Tokyo area but you can get around really easily without knowing any Japanese.
The subway stations are extremely foreigner-friendly as in the maps usually have English on them and most of the time someone at the station can speak English if you are having trouble.
It's of course helpful to know a few travel words/phrases if you need help and for minor interactions but it isn't necessary.
Neither my friend or I speak Japanese. I actually only know a handful of phrases and words but I am learning a lot by being here.

MEET ME.
Other than that, I'd say crepes, MANDARAKE, Animate (both doujinshi/manga stores). Ummm.... for a day trip I'd say try disney sea if you have a mon to spare. Its a day trip, but get out there early and its worth it. UFO catchers if you can do them, even if you cant still go for it (but then again you've got purikura so you've probably already. WIN YOURSELF A GLOOMY).
Edit: EAT OMURICE

Would probably go to the shrines and sites of historical importance (would avoid going to Yasukuni shrine, don't want to offend our chinese friends), would also love to see the Fuji up close, hot springs are must! Would like to imbue myself with japanese culture.
Now turning to my pseudo-otaku side, I would love seeing Akiba and eating Ramen till I burst.
