DARIA

I don't want to start a fight, just giving my opinion, but Daria is one show that I loved when it came on, but now I can't stand it. Maybe my tastes have matured (though a fart joke can still make me laugh until I piss myself), but I just can't the find show funny. The characters are annoying, and the plots are lame.
Of course, the only reruns I've seen in the past decade have been of the later episodes, when Tom (first Jane's boyfriend, then Daria's) was in the show, and those episodes are far inferior to the first couple of seasons.

I can see all of that, although they do tend to cut out some of the "edgier" jokes in syndication, it's stupid.

I bought this. I love Daria. The only thing that irked me about this is that they replaced 99% of the music due to numerous issues. Although I was too young to see much of the originals so it isn't that much of a big deal. Everything else is great. Daria is a shining testament that MTV actually had something good at one point. What does MTV have now? Complete shit like Jersey Shore and Teen Mom, that's what. Oh 90s, why did Y2K have to kill you?

Oh yes, I have the full series on my external hard-drive. I grew up with Daria, I always loved her. I used to be able to imitate her voice perfectly. However, I totally didn't have a crush on Trent >.>;;
Awesome show ❤

Just recently got the entire series, since my family was telling me that she acts just like me, since she's apathetic and sarcastic--mainly the latter aspect--and they wanted me to see; well that, and the fact that they just wanted to watch it some more.

I have to disagree to an extent. While the beginning series were a lot more cynical and funny, Daria's family does a lot of growing while the seasons go on. Quinn learns that she doesn't necessarily have to agree with everything the fashion club does and understands that she can better herself even if that doesn't involve the other girls approval. She also learns that she doesn't have to be afraid to hide that either.
Daria goes through some growing changes as well, where she goes through moments that surprises her. Such as when she had to console her sister when she wanted to know about religion and who was really out there. Daria against what she believed with religion, made a wiser decision of accepting the fact that her sister wanted to believe in something and let Quinn know it was okay to believe.
There's also been the times where Daria had to take her own action into doing something she didn't want to get involved with. She 'doesn't get involved' but went against her personal feelings to make a mention to something when she felt it was wrong.
Their mother also goes through a lot of changes with being a hard working female role, and a mother at the same time. While she feels down at times there's always that moment when she goes against her better judgment and focuses on being a mother when it's most important.
So while the show may not be as awesome in the same sense in the beginning of the series, the later seasons still have substance.

How about Blu-ray? It will be awesome for the whole series to be on one blu-ray disc rather then 5+ DVD'S.
all we need now is Beavis and Butt-head.

The DVD's have 99% of the music cut out because MTV doesn't give a fuck.
The music was a big part of some of the episodes, like the first link I posted.
Imagine that episode without all the awesome songs after you watch it. Yeah, only big (I'm sure Classy will make a joke about "big") daria fans should buy the DVD.
