Okay, here's another question:
What happens if one of us dies?
I usually play where the player must roll a new character, two levels below their previous. (Lvl. 10 gnome bard kicks it. Player can choose the same class and race, but must re-roll. OR, to fill a hole in the party, the player can come back with a drastically different one.)
Personally, I like taking an XP penalty equal to a set percentage(either half or 75% usually) of the XP required to go from your current level to the next level. It's enough that it hurts, but it is less random and convoluted than losing a level and then gaining half the XP to the next level.
Also, it seems you are implying that characters cannot be resurrected in your setting, as per standard DnD? Just checking.
Ok, I guess it is true that low level chars often don't have resources to get rezed. I guess I was thinking of your level 10-11 example, and there should be no problems having resources to get rezed then.
Wow it's been a while since I played D&D,used to have a level 15 Tiefling Assassin was great being able to kill most things without really having to go melee. One question will this be on IRC or chatroom?
And, do we have a set verdict on the #darkling thing?
I too would like to know the time...if there isn't an answer by the time I go to sleep I guess I'll just check back when I wake up tomorrow (which will probably be around 1 or 2 pm PST).
well I may have to push it back if my leg doesnt get better I will be going to the hospital or something tomorrow but if not then we will play sometime in the evening central time.
as to the darkling thing I made an account not sure if we will do it there if anyone has any preferences or suggestions let me know otherwise I might just do it over CR or something
Was the darkling thing an IRC channel? Well either way when you decide which is happening just post a link in the thread. Also sorry to hear about your leg.
Darkling is a site which holds campaigns on their IRC channel.
http://darklingdnd.net/
The channel is #darkling on irc.sorcery.net.
The bot on darkling has a dice roller built in. That's why I was set to use it.
Otherwise: I prefer IRC, but I'm flexible.
As soon as you get back, post. Good luck with your leg. (what happened?)
Also: I cannot do monday. I have to go to the firehouse for ongoing training.
