Dealing with Spoilers
0
I have, unfortunately, have bad luck with great shows; about half of the anime I've watched were spoiled by random trolls on the forums who couldn't keep their mouths shut. Including:
Clannad: After Story<- Boy, this was a big one
Cowboy Bebop
Code Geass R2
Madoka <- And I've just gotten only to episode four...
Death Note
Evangelion: End of Eva
Oreimo
etc.
Now that I've suffered through too much spoilers, I learned how to deal with them: hypnotizing myself.
I end up going to lala-land for about five minutes but it often(somehow) works for spoilers that I glanced. I tend to forget it after hypnotizing myself.
How do you guys deal with spoilers? Share; they might be useful later...

Flame the idiot who spoiled my fun. Flame that bastard a bit more. Break some stuff. Break more stuff. Than calm down and go back to what I was doing.

That Madoka one was an accident so I edited it after ten minutes it's been up so if you see a spoiler tab don't click it

I watch the episode the spoiler information took place in so I can maximize the damage of that specific spoiler, then I proceed back from where I left off.
I'm serious.
I'm serious.

Spoiler!
I just try to ignore them and try my best not to let the information sink and embed itself into my memory.

That is so 1980's, but I like it.

Well, its not that hard to read the beginning of a sentence and realize a spoiler is coming up. I usually just stop there instantly and move onto the next post.
"BAHHHH!! SPOILER! DONT LOOK DONT LOOK!" *Covers eyes and scrolls down*

[9:43:32 PM] Solva: I turn spoilers into something to look forward to
[9:43:40 PM] Solva: I want to know how and why it happens
[9:43:47 PM] Solva: why do things turn out the way they said
[9:44:03 PM] Solva: what happens for it to turn out like that
[9:44:15 PM] Solva: I turn it into motivation for me to watch it

honestly, If you don't want to get Spoiled
How to deal with Spoilers:
STAY OFF THE INTERNET FORUMS, WIKI SITES, AND DISCUSSION THREADS
The "Spoilee" is also sometimes at fault due to ignorance upon entering threads.
"Spoilers" Is at fault when they DON'T TAG SPOILERS PROPERLY
I'm the "Not affected by Spoilers Type" ---sometimes. depends on the anime/manga/VN

I spoil them.Exactly.
While I myself don't mind spoilers, you should generally use spoiler boxes when discussing something that you might consider a spoiler - if just for the sake of other people.
How to avoid them? Don't click spoiler buttons. Or browse discussion threads extensively - although in all fairness, some people there should just learn to use spoiler boxes as mentioned.
That said, if said anime/manga/movie/game is over 2 years old or so, then I'd say it's a fair game.

I'm of the opinion that people should refrain from going into sections that may have spoilers related to a subject that they don't wished to be spoiled. It is tedious and ridiculous, for people to constantly have to worry about what they say and whether or not it is still valid for them to spoil. People shouldn't have to be concerned with putting spoilers on what they say when it comes to information like that. Members should be responsible enough to know to enter that topic or risk it.
