did anyone else besides me hear about an American remake of Death Note? it is gonna have American actors, and Warner Bros bought rights to make a remake of the Death Note franchise. as far as actors, none have not yet been comfirmed as of yet. the movie was salted to be released in 2011.

death note now can't wait especially after how well they did DBZ.is that a bit of sarcasm i smell there? lol
well the film has no confirmed actors, just that the film will be remade, and personally i think that the movies that were made were fine as it was. the ending was the best ending ever, and i am not gonna say how exactly for those who have not seen it, but the movies that were made already were good.
i just hope that if they do make an american version, that whoever makes it does not fuck it up too bad.

yes and db (the movie was not based from dbz but db) is the example of how well they can adapt a manga series thats actually compatible with live action.
i mean if ppl are fktarded enough to think dragonball was good as live action, then they require some eyes and good smack it the face.
these are the kind of ppl adapting death note. by setting death note in american, the structure set up by theoriginal series MUST be abandoned.
the spk, near, mello, japanese task force, sakura tv, the L broadcast in tokyo. it'll all be mixed up.
moreover ALL THE NAMES will need to be changed.

They're also doing this to Ninja Scroll, Akira, Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop.
Blame Keanu Reeves, Leonardo DiCaprio and Steven Spielberg. CB
Sauce: About the Cowboy Bebop movie
About Ninja Scroll and Full Metal Panic
Youtube vid about "Anime going Hollywood"
I hate this as much as anyone. They obviously didn't see and learn from the earlier Street Fighter movie.

First, DBZ. Now Death Note. If they remake TTGL or GTO, it's a sign that they are desperate.
But they're already remaking Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop, so I guess they're already desperate

Astroboy is coming out soon. Watched the trailer a week ago and it looks good.
Then again, so did the other trailers (This also applies to remakes of Games by Hollywood).
Let's see if they'll stay true to the anime :D
