"Do you like Hentai?"

I haven't found a similar thread so I'll just start this one.
I guess most of you don't really hide it but what would you do if a team from a local TV channel or something would stop you on the street and ask if you like Hentai?

I don't have any problems to talk about that with people in the internet and I also don't mind that some of my friends and relatives know but I'm not sure what I would do in that situation... I would instantly think about how my boss would react to this or how some stupid kids who've seen it on TV would react to it, it's not that I feel bad about.. loving Hentai but I somehow think the people out there aren't really ready to know^^.. Well, I think much of you will now say that I'm just thinking to much but how about you? What would you say? Would you even think about the "consequences" or would you be like "fuck you I like what I like and I'm proud of beeing how I am"?

hmmm.... i would say:
"I may or may not like certain type of entertainment however said interests are non of you business" and then i would walk away without looking back.... like a boss ;D

Well, I did create a topic that was about evaluating one's sexual tastes to determine whether or not they are harmful to us in any way and consider relinquishing them, if possible. It's not exactly what you are talking about but I could make the case for it. My topic didn't do so well but when I wrote it I was considering something similar to your question, the idea of revealing our tastes to the world and how people would react.

To answer your question, I would say no. I wouldn't be comfortable at all talking about my sexual interests of any kind, not just hentai. Among friends it's one thing but I would be worried about the family or other acquaintances finding out. So no, I wouldn't want to reveal it. Not that I find it repulsive in any way, but I wouldn't want that. Especially, and this is the point I wanted to make that is similar to yours, if I become professionally acomplished. It may sound strange but I sometimes wonder how would I feel if, I dunno, James Joyce, one of my heros said "When I was writing Ulysses I was wanking to hentai pics of cat-like girls with giant tits". It seems ridiculous, kinda like one of those "Can't unsee" situations.

I do, however, think that almost everyone has some sexual interests that can be considered strange. It is a statistic game. We are all weird and maybe, even the hottest girl in school is into the exact same weird things but we'll never know, will we? I suppose we tend to consider ourselves weird and put everyone we know personally in a pedestal.

Well, I don't fap to hentai doujinshi's but I enjoy reading them. Also, if you like hentai then go to the Fakku site! There, you would experience best hentai from the best uploaders and the community is awesome! That, is what I would say to a team from a local TV channel.

As much as I would like to tell the truth, if any potential or current employers saw the interview, it would reflect negatively and, depending on the job, could get you in trouble. I know one job I had said in the contract that you couldn't do anything that would reflect negatively upon the company in the public eye, so I think this would count and I would lie and say no.

I would say "why are you conducting an interview for strangers on the street about hentai? Let me guess, there is a new study that says hentai gives people cancer, right?"

Or just say "...Sure".

No I don't think its something everybody watching the interview would need to know.
Some friends and some family know about it, but I don't think a bunch of strangers need to know.
