I prefer original work and I usualy read those over hentai based of manga/anime series. I was just wondering if anyone else felt the same.

Hmm..
I never read H thats based off a series, I always go for original works. I think its 'cause I don't like to see horrible things happen to characters I've grown to like..lol

There seems to be a lot more good original works than good series-based works, so I guess I know which one to pick...

I always really enjoy the original works more. It depends though. I'm not familiar with a lot of the series works that are on fakku. Its not nearly as rewarding reading a hentai when you don't know the back story or the reason why the author might have done something. It feels like reading a book, but starting half-way through. When I am familiar or a fan of the series it is based off it can be really good though! :D

Personally I find for anime/manga-based works the experience of reading is much more enjoyable when you have a context to work with. Although I must say they have introduced me to a lot of mainstream works as well (e.g. Evangelion).
In short, I prefer original works just because you don't need that kind of context.

Most of the time I'd prefer someone's original story. The stuff that actually gets translated is pretty good, I'm sure there is tons of utter crap still left in the limbo of nontranslation.

In the middle, origial works are great to read cause is a whole new story with new development. but series based wworks are good to see that character that you like and know in a new settlement.
I think I'll give it to original works though

I don't really care/mind whether it's an original work or not.
As long as it's good, then that's it.
Abstain.

I'm not much of an anime fan, so they're all like original works to me.
it bugs me when they refererence something from the non H version, it can break the flow of the story for me.

Ah, I missed a part in the question and almost decided not to vote. Original work mostly. Don't have a definite reason other than just being more interesting. Especially H-Manga that revolves around romance and is actually attempting a story.

The Grey Knight :y
I generally go for original work, but I often series-based as well, depending on the series.
