I've read way too many H mangas that have stunning art , i barely get attracted to good art compared to the excitement of the story, i'm amazed so many cared about art though , for me , a manga with a decent plot like "Love and Devil" etc is somthing i'd appreciate and maybe even remember later .

this was a hard choice, i do like good art but if the story line is crappy i wont enjoy it. i would prefer it to have both good art work and good story line, but if it had good art work and no story line i wouldn't watch/read it, but if it had a good story line i might think twice about overlooking it.

Those two round and plump plots on the heroine's chest, thats what i look for

usually i will stop reading a hentai if it doesn't have good enough art but you can ignore a bad story

Damn! Why can't I choose both?

Hmm, this is tough. I guess in the beginning I could of said art over plot, but now a days it is the reversed. Even if I skip anything because the art was bad, I would only continue if the plot could match up.

Its gotta be the art. I like if it has a good plot, however, i can ignore the plot and look at all the pretty pictures. Done it lots before, expect to do it a lot again.

Normally for the art. Hentai is for fapping. Novels are for reading.

But if a well drawn hentai has good storylines (Velvet Kiss comes to mind) then fuck yeah buy one get one free.

both are really important to me but i can forgive poor art for great plot

art, if it wasn't a hentai i'd prob focus more on plot, but i'm trying to fap to it, it BETTER look damn good (or at least okay)

I'd have to go with art.
Yes, a good plot is a key factor in making a great hentai, but when it comes down to it, I'm in it for the visual stimulation not the story. Sometimes I'll even find myself skipping over whole sections of dialog because the pictures are enough.

This was a hard one. I tend to start reading or watching hentai if the art is appealing, but I probably won't read or watch it again if I don't like the plot. There are exceptions obviously because I find the art too good. Most of my favorites are a mix of the two with exceptions here and there.

Usually for me its the art that draws me in and its the plot that keeps me there.

While I do believe that art makes it much better, if the plot is as boring as hell... well... its as boring as hell.

I like a good story and I appreciate the art as well, for me one has to come by with the other. If the plot is good but the art sucks, meh, that's ok. If the art is excellent or good but the plot sucks, like just sex scenes, it doesn't quite do it for me. (If you look at my faves you'll see that most of my favourite doujins have a minimum of 20 pages or are part of a series).

In conclusion... the plot. The plot is where it's at.

I get pulled in by either the art, or if it's less than impressive a read of the plot, I leave if it has a fetish within I find disgusting or if the sex shown within is uninteresting.

I'm gonna definitely go with plot - except I would say what I'm actually talking about is the narrative and presentation, not so much x,y,z happens but how it happens the pacing, presentation, etc. Art is just a tool of the narrative, the real aesthetics of hentai is in the narrative pacing and plot. Did I just say "aestheitics of hentai" - seriously? If I'm not careful I'm going to have to enroll in Cultural Studies and do a phd in the narrativology of vanilla and its resonance for English speaking readers.

The plot. But it's only marginally more necessary by about 0.0000000000001%. I mean both are what make a good hetai manga/doujinshi, but plot (and vanilla) is what started my thirst for hentai. I read hentai for the story that I can't find anywhere else.
