Do you think "cheating" is a biological urge?

You guys are aware that "rape" and having multiple partners are common thing amongst a large variety of mammals all around the world?

From an evolutionary standpoint I am almost certain it is. The more sex with different partners the more offspring, resulting in a less extinct humanity. People can be happy with one partner, but all the self control they have over the subject of "not cheating" is artificially created by are urban environment and not from what "the human animal" would do.
This. Is true.
I would add something further: Biological success for men is to get as many childs as possible- this is why they have so much sperm. Choosing a good mating partner is secondary. Women on the other hand have their biological success on a) choosing the perfect genetical partner and b) parenting. This is why some scientists suspect they choose different partners for mating and breeding (Those words sounds weird .. )
That's the way to maintain biological success...
BUT those rules apply on a time where food was rare, men were killed by beasts. Nowadays our planet is due to technology and medicine, which enlarge our life span overpopulated. Propably our instincts and urges to follow these instincts have reduced. Also I see a slow change in society that non-monogam relations get accepted more. I'd be happy to see a society which accepts all kinds of relationships and lets everyone choose (~Utopy desu...)

Cheating is only okay is you are the one whom which someone is cheating with and you are not in a relationship. Elsewise, it is not. It is not okay to cheat under any other circumstance. Even if you are being abused, just break up with them AND THEN have relations with others.
