Depends on the mood, I would choose high quality food all the way but there are just certain times where I need to eat some fast food. I dont know why but I just need it once a month, but like said it doesnt beat good food, especially since I was raised on a highly natural and traditional cuisine.

Curious and Wondering
Not at all. I've seen real disgusting food (e.g. surstromming), and fastfood is a far cry from it.

they don't beat mom's cooking,
anyone who's had an Asian mom and good home cooked meals would agree

I don't mind fast food. It's fine to eat it if you need something quick and simple to get you through a portion of the day, but eating it extensively will probably just make you sick.

Maybe he just had a bad experience like trying something exotic that really needed an acquired taste. And for some maybe its just not fulling enough for the cost.
I prefer a good cooked meal over fast food.

I think fast food is pretty terrible! I'm so used to healthy eating that the few times I have gone out (last week I had breakfast at Fran's Diner, which is sort of high-end fast food) and my stomach hurt instantly! I'll take kale chips and oven roasted chicken over hamburgers and fries any day.

Forgive me, but I HATE McDonalds and KFC. The food there grosses me out. I've only ate at Wendy's twice, and I only ordered the salad. lol
If donuts are considered fast food, then I have to say that I do crave for Country Style once in a while. I don't find their donuts disgusting! [Well, basically because I only order one kind. HAHA.]
I find junk food [chips] disgusting though. >:(
How can he prefer fast food over 5-star food?! INSANE.
I can understand him disliking steak... but that's not the only good food around!

I am what you might call the lowest class of gourmet. I love many kinds of food, but for the most part, I find cheap fast food to be the best. On average, fast food and "high-class" (stuff that's in the $10-20 per person per meal range; I'm a college student, not an aristocrat) food taste equally good to me, although there is massive variation in both categories.
Fast food's advantages are: cost, availabity (locations and time open), speed and no need for decorum.
Fancy food's advantages are: you'll be considered "cultured" and it's occasionally a bit healthier, but don't count on it.
Also, a lot of high-end places seem to think "quality" (read: reputation) is a replacement for quantity. It's not. If I can cup it in one hand, I don't care how good it is, it's not enough.

The Iconoclast
I would not call it "disgusting" but you can make yourself an exact replica of that meal by cooking it yourself in 10 min and have it be much more healthy and tasteful.

I don't think it's disgusting, but I'm aware that I can easily be convinced that it's disgusting by watching a video about where it comes from.
Either way, I still like fast food, and almost alway eat their if I'm unable to eat home. I'm extremely thrifty, so I really don't like spending $12 dollars to wait an hour for average food. I'm willing to eat food of any quality (such as plain rice); all I care about is quantity, price, time, and protein.
I order 4 items from the dollar menu, and I get tons of food in 2 minutes for $4 bucks. I just don't see why paying 12 bucks to wait an hour to get a normal amount of food is better than fast food

I prefer a regular meal over fast food any day of the week, but when I want something fast and tasty I'll just head out and grab something for cheap.

I am not a fan of fast food, I have seen where the meat comes from lol. However I still eat it once in a while when on the road, usually try to stop at the subway, I think I get more food for my money at subway then most other fast food places. On my usual commute of delivering livestock, subway has the best parking for a large trailer lol, so that makes my choice even easier. If I am going on a long trip then I usually throw some of my steaks or burgers into a cooler and bring along my mini propane stove and cook my own food, but sometimes when I am on a tight schedule I stop and grab some fast food like McDonald's or whatever I see first. When it comes down to it all the big chains use similar beef, some put grill marks on it, some throw special sauce on it, some use more meat then others, the difference in taste is so small, you could give me a McDonald's burger in a Jack in the box wrapper, I would not notice the difference. I think that is one nice thing about fast food, no matter where you go, you know exactly what you are getting, I still try to avoid it though.
