Do you think this is wrong?

The other day I went on a date with one of my close guy friends who told me he liked me. But when he picked me up in his carhe looked at me and told me he found my peircing unattractive. Do you think its ok for a guy to tell a girl to change her self to be with him? Because He literally took out a plastic bag and made me remove them. >.

no it's not alright you should have told him that you aren't gonna change who you are just for him. I really hope you don't go out with him again.

By the way you desbribed your story you seem really naive about the world of dating and really young (just putting that out there)
But I think perhaps he didn't have to behave the way he did which was rather drastic,he should be more understanding of you and how you are and present yourself. really shouldn't change for a guy who seems to be rather distaseful in such things,so no it's not right.

Well, I do agree that he was harsh in the way he said it. I also agree with the part that you seem naive.
As long as you'r not thinking into a long term relationship just tell him to fuck off lol. If you really like this guy and you think it might work in the long term, you could "trade" stuff about yourself with him, If you feel like it anyways.
Like myself, I dont really like piercings and my girlfriend had one, she removed it with the condition that I get a tatto, which I accepted (Tattos are ok, piercings not, that's MY opinon). See? something like that, if you remove your piercing, make him changue something, if he doesnt, well, the "fuck off" strategy is a must, if he thinks about it, perharps he was just an ass when he said that.
Anyways... Good luck with that :)

If removing a piercing drastically affects who you are, that is kind of sad.
On the other hand, the fact that he had a plastic bag and was more than willing to tell you he didn't like you and forced you to remove it is highly creepy.
Like WTF!?! level of creepy.
You're also very naive.

Agreed. I would advise against going-out with someone who would do something like that. It's rude and, as Kali said, extremely creepy.

Little annoyances tend to build up on the course of a relationship, possibly leading it to end sooner or later. And the fact that he shows this much distaste for something you embrace reveals a high probability that if you were to date him, it would be short lived.

He's trying to control you and change who you are. It was more wrong of you to give in to it, though. You should have told him to accept you as you are or go out with someone else.

Ok, if he did that on DAY ONE of you dating, that is a BAD sign.
Never, NEVER change yourself for someone you may only be with temporarily! It's like getting a tattoo of their name: later it may be irrelevant.
Seriously, if they wanna change you right off the bat, that's a danger signal. Could be an early sign of a very controlling man within a relationship setting to follow...
Unless it's just a haircut they ask for, then maybe. XD

Meh, Idk, I've dated girls and am currently in love (Gah, shoot me Idk =x=) with one with a nose piercing which I just hate looking at (sorry peepz, it just doesn't ride with me D;) but I still like her, although I would prefer her to give it a miss.
I think the bag thing is a bit far out, but then, if you were going -out- together on a date, it makes sense in a way as guys can be old fashioned (even the most outrageous, punk guy).
Hey, you know him better than me ;D
Is it okay? Would he have done it to be unfair, or was there another reason behind it?

Wait, where exactly was this piercing at? Because if you had like a ring that went through one of your eyelids and stapled it to your cheek, I might of done the same.

You'd've thought that he would've known about the piercing before dating them. If this wasn't the case, this thread would be a whole different conversation.
Anyway, it's already been said but dammit I'll say it too, he's a twat and you shouldn't have taken them out. Him being a twat is something you can't change, but now you know for the future :3

He's entitled to his opinion about your piercing. You are entitled to tell him to shove it up his ass. DTMFA and go out with someone who is not a cockdoucheweaselmonkey.

Sounds damning, but I don't know the guy. You're probably a better judge of his character, as well as what you want. If you suspect him of being a jerk or domineering and you don't like people like that, then you're probably in trouble.
Personally, I would never make my waifu change herself for me.

I agree. It shows that he is the manipulative kind of guy.

that's rude i mean if he likes you it doesn't matter if you have a pierce or anything he must like you whatever you are or maybe the guy only likes you because you are cute or beautiful if i were you i will dump that guy well first because his like will not turn into love and second I'm sure eventually you will shed a lot of your precious tears ^^
