Downvotes?

okay lately I've been getting down votes on some of my comments. Which is fine for people to dislike things. But it's been happening a lot. SO I checked it out and everyone in that mangas comments had 1 to 3 down votes.

I don't know what is going on but does anyone wanna help solve this mystery?

The notifications are kind of annoying, but comment downvotes are completely inconsequential.

Just don't be a votewhore and you'll get over it. This isn't youtube/reddit/facebook.

I am at -6, and don't care. At least because I wasn't being a dick to deserve those.

The person probably just likes hitting the minus button, whether or not the comment is intelligible.

I've noticed that too. Someone even downvoting something as inconsequential as 'Hello.' I'm not entirely sure what the fascination is with downvoting people who comment on mangas, but I'm starting to think it's just stupid to comment on mangas here. My advice is to just not comment on mangas anymore. No matter what you say, someone will downvote you. I have no idea why, but that little down arrow seems to be irresistible.

I've actually seen the opposite.
Every manga/doujinshi whose comments I happen to check on (whether it because I said something or expecting some joke), its was impossible to see a comment not have at least one upvote.

You'd just had to have said some really dumb to warrant a downvote from what I see.
But as others had said, comment voting doesn't really matter. Neither does the normal posted rep, most of the time.

A manga comment automatically get a +1 vote when it's posted.

downvotes don't really matter, its just people pushing down your comment so they're comment can get pushed up.

Anything uploaded by EdMX seems to get trolls who downvote everything. I'm also a victim of it.

I don't actually give two shits about downvotes, it just makes the whole point of commenting a tad unfair and it spams up my Notifications.

It's not as if I NEED up votes or anything I particularly don't care about votes. I am just curious as to why there have been so many people attacked by down votes.
