DR FUCKING WHO !!!

My new obsession thanks to my ex girlfriends recommendation :3
The character of the Doctor was initially shrouded in mystery. All that was known about him in the programme's early days was that he was an eccentric alien traveller of great intelligence who battled injustice while exploring time and space in an unreliable old time machine called the "TARDIS," whose name is an acronym for "Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space." As it appears much larger on the inside than on the outside, the TARDIS has been described by the Third Doctor as "dimensionally transcendental."[42] Because of a malfunction of its Chameleon Circuit, it is stuck in the shape of a 1950s-style British police box.
However, not only did the initially irascible and slightly sinister Doctor quickly mellow into a more compassionate figure, it was eventually revealed that he had been on the run from his own people, the Time Lords of the planet Gallifrey.

gotta say that im a fan of David Tennant's incarnation of the doctor the most, never really liked the older series and havent seen the next doctor in action yet.

Meh. It was alright in that one season with Christopher Ecclestone, didn't much like it after that. Saw an episode a while ago with an infection on Mars which I really enjoyed, but the one after that was terrible so I stopped again. :P

I never really liked the New-Who. They've over glamourized it and turned it too much into a kid's show. :/ *Sigh* I miss the Fourth Doctor... ;w;

Well, I really liked Eccleston and Tennant, but have no been too fond of Smith- less because I dislike him, I think he's a decent incarnation of the doctor, but the companion chemistry feels really off... also the stories themselves have been a little lackluster. Amy seems dumber than the average companion and really makes me miss Martha Jones, who was my favorite companion since Elizabeth Shaw, who also got shafted with only one season. WTB more companions with technical expertise.
The only episode of the current season that I especially liked was the one about the colony ship, and that was mostly because of its tie-in with "The Ark in Space". It seemed like it was another group of humans who fled earth from the exact same catastrophy the

I only started watching when it was brought back in 2005, enjoyed it at times and eventually warmed up to Tennant, I just couldn't stand the awfully badly written finale's. (the first episode's of each season weren't anything special either.)
So I was pretty over-joyed to hear Moffat would be taking over as head writer and so far I'm loving the direction the show has taken, it feels a lot less stupid and childish (ignoring vampires in venice and perhaps the Dalek episode.)
And Matt Smith without a doubt for is the best Doctor, such a wonderful actor, I loved him just after episode one was finished, he filled Tennant's shoe's in no time. Also it's nice to see Amy isn't completely stupid and sometimes she helps the Doctor or herself get out of sticky situations.
Basically a little less episodes like Vampires in Venice and a little more of what we've gotten so far. (The Angel two parter and Amy's choice so far are my favourite's.)

I just started hanging out with a group of people last year and they are ALL obsessed with David Tennant this show. Yes, they're all girls. So I figured what the hell, I'll go for it. I watched all the new episodes and loved all of them. I really don't think people appreciate Eccleston and his one-of-a-kind smile was my first thoughts, and I will uphold that. Matt Smith is also underrated, partially because he's got a chin "you could land a 7-47 on" and partially because he's after Tennant. Why did that pretty boy take like twenty minutes to regenerate when the Master and Eccleston just went "POOF I'm here!"?
That aside, brilliant show. One of the only other guys in this group I hang out with calls it "plotholes the show" and I have to agree with him. It is! Also, wibbley-wobbley timey-wimey power ranger Daleks.
