Earphones vs Headphones
Which do you prefer more?

I use headphones when I need to listen to music and have absolute silence around me. My use of earphones is when I am waiting for someone or something.

I use earphones though I really wouldnt mind a pair of skull candy headphones I like them as they remind me of the main protagonist in Persona 3

I use Earphones when I feel like running and fast walking.
I use Headphones when I feel like listening to Music loud and have awesome bass and chilling out.
My vote goes to Earphones.

I'm a mobile person, so earphone all the way. But there's the problem that it breaks all the fucking time... anybody has one that doesn't break?

I use both and like them both equally as they both have their own merits. Headphones for home use and earphones (or IEM's) for portable use.
My current setup is
Headphones:
Beyerdynamic DT 880's for music and general computer use.
Audio Technica AD700's for gaming use.
Alessandro MS1's for portable and laptop use.
Earphones or IEM's (In ear monitors)
Nuforce NE-7M
Soundmagic PL50
Victor JVC HP-FX500
Soundmagic PL-30
Head direct RE2
and some other no name budget impulse buy ones.
Btw a lot of Sennheisers products are overrated. Im not saying they are bad, but there are better headphones out there then the HD202's HD555 etc. They tend to be the starting point for many people when being introduced to the "audiophile world".

It all depends what type of brand it is and how loud you make them.
I use Sony headphones and Earphones and for the past 6 months they have done me good.
Skull candies kept breaking, Also avoid walking with them in the rain >.>

Up'd from iPod defaults to Sennheiser HD515's about two weeks ago.
God. damn. Never going back. They seem pretty flawless to me, yet it's strange to think that there are headphones that cost hundreds more.

I feel I just wasted my money on buying this headphone. It's heavy and I don't even use it. I should have bought the earphone or earbud instead.
EDIT :
Lol looks someone didn't like what I did just say. I don't even know what does negative reputation to me. XD

At home Headphones
On the go Earphones
Headphones are aweseome for gaming, their soft, comfy and provides realistic surround sound.
Earphones are small, convenient and fits snugly in your ear so it's not noticeable.

Earphones cause headphones make my ears warm and I don't like that, not to mention it leaves a mark in my hair as my hair is naturally spiky. Not to mention they are rather portable and not as easily broken as headphones are.
Though I do like using headphones when I am at home.

I've never had a pair of headphones that was truly durable enough for my needs. Also, they tend to make the shells of my ears hurt after awhile. They're great for sheer sound quality (if you're willing to invest a mint into a quality set), but not very portable.
Earbuds are no good at all, as the sound quality tends to be crap, and they also make my ear-shells ache after awhile of wearing them.
However, I have found a very good alternative:
Sony MDR-J10 earphones.
The clips fit comfortably over my ears, and the speakers nestle gently into my ear-holes. The sound is excellent and - unlike nearly all earphone designs - doesn't lose the bass range. In fact, I have to turn my music player down very low when wearing them, because the audio output is strong and has excellent clarity.
As for durability, they really last. They're flexible enough to withstand years of abuse; I had a pair that lasted a little over 5 years.
Small, durable, long cord, excellent sound quality, and very comfortable. Also, not at all pricey (US$10). Can't go wrong with 'em.

I used a Koss Pro 4AA. These things are ultra heavy but the music that comes out of it is heavenly to me. Personally I use both ear phones and headphones so I have no set preference. It depends on my mood to be honest.

Headphones.
I can never get earphones to sit right in my ear. As a result, they always sound like doo-doo compared to headphones.
That and I just plain don't like having stuff sticking all up in my ear.
