EAST COAST RAP VS. WEST COAST RAP

I can't really say which one is better, since they have distinctive styles, so it is hard for me to choose. I like Tupac, but I also like Jay-Z (Pre-2001 material). Ugh, I can't choose.

Just mid-west, although they were heavily affiliated with Eazy. It is a similar situation to how the Outlawz are still technically East Coast, although they are heavily affiliated with Tupac.

Fuck east-coast. They shot Tupac. I cried when he died in the hospital. exception: Jay-z
Are you dumb or something? The east coast had nothing to do with how Tupac died, research it and come back and tell me that I'm right! (Tupac got shot by people he was hanging out with, people that other east coast rappers told him not to hang out with because they were dangerous, I bet you didn't even know that Tupac was mentally ill!)

West Coast all the way, East Coast never produced anything as cool as G-Funk.How could you forget The Notorious B.I.G.
This is one of my favorite songs... biggy is a beast.

EAST SIDE!!! We had The Wu Tang, Biggie, Jay-Z, Public Enemy and if you want to include the south we had So-So-Def Outkast, and a lot others nothing wrong with the west they did have have Dre, Snoop, Tupac, Easy-E, and thats pretty much all i can think of so if your talking who had the bigger influence on Rap it has to be the east side we made it and kinda of killed it.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UFIYGkROII&ob=av2e

I prefer to decide on a individual basis. there are some from both that i hate and others that i enjoy. also, there are several midwest and southern artists that are quite talented in my opinion.
favs-
west coast:
Easy E, Too Short, RBL
east coast:
Wu Tang
hate-
west:
Tube sock(tupac), ice cube
east:
gay z, shawn "poofy" combs, kanye(aka jay z ball polisher)
most of my opinion is about style, jay z tends to have pretty weak ryhmes. only ryhming one word through out a song, often the word "nigga", while never really saying anything. where as wu tang can tell a story and express more than one idea per song.
i'd like to see some extensive free style battles between some of the major label supported artists.
