Facial Hair; Beard or no Beard?
Do you like facial hair?

Curious and Wondering
Well, it depends on the person if he looks aesthetically better with a beard than none.
But we'll have to admit in corporate settings, a clean-shaven guy looks more acceptable.

In summertime, I put beard. But most of the time I shave because I can be young looking for a longer time, although young age is where male and female still abit look the same, that is the time when the male is most horny so it balances to masculinity. I might permanently grow sideburns though so I'll feel like a tiger.

Smooth skin FTW!
Ah it's so nice waking up every morning knowing you don't have to waste time shaving some annoying hair that's gonna grow back again the next day.
I'll take my hairless skin any day.

I like my face clean shaven. Just feels better. Plus, it's a prerequisite on the job anyways.

As far as beards and jobs go I got a job looking like this. So don't tell me being beardless is a prerequisite. (^o^)b

I've never worked in food so I'm not sure what those mean...or if they even have to do with working in food. FFPPP and ICU? eh?

ICU = Intensive Care Unit. ICUers = critical patients that you don't want to spill bacteria all over.
Beard = prevents the face mask from closing tightly, and thus banned by regulations.
Therefore, my statement about my being clean shaven being a prerequisite on the job is correct.

@ Gentlepervert: Keeping sideburns is a task in itself, I keep my sideburns about earlobe length and a currently slight Goatee, it takes time to make sure you keep them precisely even.
@ TMS: I kept it trimmed, if it was not for that it would have been much fuller, considering it had been about a year since I last had a clean shave.

Call it a double standard, but while I think guys should have facial hair or at least stubble, I don't like facial hair on a girl. ;)
Your post made me smile on the inside. Glad there are some women who don't want a guy that looks like a girl.

I actually like having facial hair on my face if I didn't I guess I would just feel very awkward for some reason, the only time I would shave it off would be if I had to for a job or if my girl told me to shave it off. Atm I'm just rolling with a goatie I don't really like them huge long beards and I also like my happy trail lol I think it makes me look alot more sexy.

I guess it just depends on the job you are going for. I'll admit there are a lot of jobs that require you to be shaven, but there are plenty that don't require it. Anything in retail or replenishment for example. (there are probably exceptions though).

I'll never part with my facial hair. Trim it and keep it neatish? Sure, but shave? Heck no. Besides just being plain-out annoying (I hate shaving), it also has these disadvantages:
1. Shaving off my facial hair is like taking a shot of estrogen. Goodbye manliness!
2. Shaving makes me look like a mid-teenager again (I'm 20, not 15 thank you very much)
3. Shaving makes me break out
4. Prickleface sucks
My intended major yields a studio art degree, so hopefully my job won't require that I part with my beloved beard.

Dudes majoring in art always have beards.I suspect three reasons for this phenomenon:
1. Those with art majors are less likely to put up with others' crap, even when it comes to a job
2. Shaving is an annoyance of epic proportions. They have better things to do than shaving enough to keep themselves from looking like a robber (stubble is nasty looking).
3. They have a desire to stand out from the masses and not be a uniform part of the machine.
