Fading Figures

I haven't dusted my figures in 2 months. Yeah, I know that's a long time.
I was checking how much dust had on my figures. There was a lot but something caught my eye. The the top of the head of Miku. Holy crap there is some weird discoloration. I look on the top of other heads and they all have the same thing. The crevasses of the head are darker than the rest of the head.
I don't remember if it was like that before and I'm freaking out. Could you check your figures and see if it's the same way? Does heat do this to them?

Discoloration will happen to figure with heavy dust. That happen to my gunpla too, all white color turn into brownish. I usually use wet(moist) towel to clean it. If there's discoloration that can't remove just with wet towel, i use hand soap mixed with water (10-25% handsoap). And dip tip of towel then squeeze it to dry off the excess water, then rub using it. For instant, use glass cleaner and spray it to towel. That method are works for me.
FINAL method (not suggested, i never try to my figure-just gunpla). Dip your figure to water-handsoap mixed and brush it with tooth brush for baby. Do it repeatedly until the discoloration is removed.

Well, it's just removed the dust that heavily stick into the figure. After all, handsoap got less bubble than any other soap. So it's easy to clean after using it, just wipe with wet towel and dry it with dry towel or tissue.

Kinda going off on a tangent...What exactly does heat do to a figure besides softening it?
ummm if it is a model
it will make the detail fade, and possibly fade the colour
oh and i almost forgot it will burn them
