Updated Ground Rules for the 2010 Fakku Calendar:
All submissions should be Fan Art (usually the more popular the better)material.
We will include illustrations, cosplay photography and character figures.
We will format the calendar for wallpaper format and we will accept regualar, nude, erotic and/or pornographic material, we may publish both a regualar and a NSFW(not safe for work) version.
You are not limited to one submission section. But keep in mind the amount of time you need to spend on finishing your project.
We will only be accepting digital submissions. We don’t have time to scan and photograph and mail back submissions. Final digital page size 1024x768
The submission deadline is December 01, 2010.
Please submit any other ideas you may have for the calendar so that we may consider them and decide if they may be included.

1. How do I participate in the Calendar?
Submit your entries by the 01st of December, 2010 to art@fakku.net
2. What can I submit?
We are accepting Fan Art material. You can submit illustrations, cosplay photo shoots, and character figures. The work can be black/white or full color. We are planning on digital distribution of this calendar so your final submission must be 1024x768.
3. What can’t I submit?
Loli and other themes that are limited by Fakku.Net. The rules on what we post on Fakku.net are mandated by local and federal statutes.
4. I want to submit more than one?
You are allowed to submit as many pieces in as many catagories as you want. But due to the high quality of work we will demand, we would recommend that you focus on doing fewer quality pieces.
5. Does everyone who submits art to the book get in?
No. The submissions will be judged by the editorial panel or a surprise. It’s really as simple as that.
6. Those are huge files I don’t know if my computer can handle them?
We will be initially accepting submissions at web quality (72 dpi) so your initial file sizes don’t have to be bigger than about 3 MB each. If you get accepted, we will ask for a full size file.
7. If I submit something is it really going to get in?
All submissions will be reviewed for inclusion. We will do our best to comment and critique your work prior to our deadline to help you meet the standards.
8. What are the deadlines?
- December 01, 2010 is the deadline
9. How will the artist be compensated?
Credit to you and your email or webpage info in calendar. There may be other perks for artists as situations arise.
10. I got cut! Do I get another chance?
The short answer is no. There is always next year.
11. I didn’t get notified if I’m in or not?
You will find out when the calendar is ready for download.
12. Will you critique my entries?
You can send requests for critiques to art@fakku.net . Depending on the amount of requests it can take us up to 2 weeks to get back to you.
13. I did a kick ass drawing of Orihime from Bleach, can I enter it?
Yes. This is a format where we ask for your best Fan Art.
14. Will the calendar be offered as a virtual/e-book?
Our priority is to make a 12 month calendar. If we have enough submissions we will do a regular and NSFW version. Also honorable mentions may be published in e-book format.
15. Do we scan the artwork or mail it?
Please scan the artwork and submit it along the guidelines for submission below.
16. Can we submit a black and white Illustration?
Yes.
17. Does the illustration have to be gender specific, can it be any, as long as it’s an Fan Art?
Bingo.
18. The pixel size, is it 1024w x 768h or the other way around?
The book will be printed in a landscape manner.
19. Is ecchi/perverted illustration/manga allowed?
This time around yes. You’re welcome.
20. My photography model looks young?
During your submission of photographs of real people(in costume or not) we need to have you submit your records of the models id’s. We will not publish images of children(a person under the age of 18).
25. I did not collect my model’s id. She looks old enough?
You should collect copies of your models id’s for your protection and record. We will not print any submission without them. Period.
26. I’ve made a tutorial of my process, will you publish that?
The short answer is yes, if your finished piece gets in. We can include this in the honorable mention section.
