My suggestions:

[size=14]-Need better marginal control.[/h]

Need more spacing on the margins. When the margins are so close to the edge, it becomes quite distracting, so try and space it out a bit.

I won't suggest you to use it often, but I actually like what you did to the gutter (Space between the two column of text) on the first page though. Adds interest and the images are consistent. The only suggestion for it is that you pay attention to equal spacing since Patch and Cirno are closer together than the bottom two. :P

There isn't really anything wrong with the images being the main focus, but the title itself needs to have some spotlight as well. The way you've placed them seems as if the titles were more of an after thought, but being an important part of the magazine I think you need to think about their placement next time.

This doesn't necessarily have to change, but I'll say it anyway. I know Klown popularized that font and it looks gansta, but does it fit the attitude of the article or the magazine?

This is probably my biggest concern. Sometimes if you bombard the reader with too many images, it can become stifling because of how busy it becomes (even with a conservative layout).

I guess it isn't necessarily a bad thing to have a top and bottom heavy image layout, but it isn't interesting. Break'em up and put them where it'll provide some interest. Also, if possible try to keep it at three images per page.

[size=14]-The walls of texts.[/h]

Being an article for information, walls of texts should be expected, but readers become off-put by the idea of it cause they're picky faggots. So in order to give the illusion of having a smaller body, we have a few ways to fix it up.

a) You can use the traditional magazine layout and break them up into columns like you did on the first page,

b) or you can go with what Kiss-shot did which would require major layout planning.

Probably other ways of doing it but this is all I can think of at the moment.

[size=14]-Image choices matter.[/h]

Need to choose images that will compliment each other and its surrounding elements. For example, on your first page, you have an image of Hitagi in the center, mostly made up of purple colors. Your title is also purple, and this is good because there is a relationship between the two elements.

Try to pull stuff together, like Kiss-shot mentioned by using same styles. If you're going to use art from a fan, try to use the same artist again.

Missed the original topic, but like the idea. Aside from the issues already raised, what kind of content are we looking at? I'd be happy to contribute, but subject specialism worries me. I enjoy writing and I'm sure I could cobble a review or article together, but I'm not really a hentai or anime buff...I can see myself getting slaughtered over details. :P

I agree though that first it's best to decide what content your going to include.

Will it have anime and manga reviews? Hentai Reviews?

I think it'll be good to have a section to keep the community updated on the various things happening, such as convention's Fakku are attending, things like that. And like I said before, if possible try and interview the hentai scan groups, I'm sure people would like to get to know more about the people who spend their time for us to give out these releases.

Once you've fully decided on what content it's going to have then it's time to put the layout design in full force :P
