Favorite Era in Music

[Remake of the thread killed by the great wipe of odd '11]

So whats your favorite era in music and why?

Well the classical radio station I listen to, they play that stuff on Friday's and I think they call it Modern Masterpieces or something like that. Umm, idk, I guess so! >.

Eh, not even sure. I like today's music the best though, I must say.

i can't vote because i can choose 1 single era, i like 60's, 70's and 80's and now i'm into Folk, Symphonic, Etc Metal.

I go with 90's and early 00's.

Because I found my fave bands like RATM, Nirvana, RHCP, Radiohead, and The Vines at that time.
Besides I was live at 90's, and having my greatest music experience on that Era.

80's plus 90's ..just can't make up my mind :3

90's. Era I grew up listening to.

For me it's the 80's, thats when a lot of great metal groups started and diversified the genre with bands like Testament and Morbid Angel. I hated the 90's in general since that's when the whole "loudness war" took off in metal and studio recording quality fell, and the popularity of grunge fucked with the genre too in a way that I don't like at all.

90's. But I freakin' love 70's and 80's too.

I love the music from the 70's to the 90's but sometimes I listen to Classical

70's gave us Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Motorhead, Judas Priest, and Scorpions.
80's gave us Iron Maiden, Saxon, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, etc.
90's gave us Pantera, and melodic death metal.

I can't choose.

90's broseph.this is when post-hardcore and grunge took off. Which I still play today in a band, that hopefully is about to get signed! ^-^

I hope you mean grunge and not post-hardcore. I fuckin' hate hardcore. The local scene in my area is 93% post-hardcore bands, 7% high-school marching bands.

The thing is, all those post-hardcore bands sound exactly the same -.-

that is what you call posers. I play post-hardcore, grunge, and we have a single that's an extremely fast pace, psychedelic, punk/lounge sound, I came up with it one day effin around with one of Kirk Kobain's reverb pedals.

80's and 90's are the best

60's definitely,

the doors, bob dylan, the beatles, pink floyd, the stones could go on and on.
