I don't think metallica deserves to be considered a 'legend'. they have fallen so far. if there is a choice between making shitty music and going big mass media, or staying obscure and true to the metal, I'd say there's only one choice to be had.

Yeah, I voted The Beatles on this, but there should be so much more bands, were are [size=13]Queen[/h] people? Thread needs a lot more Queen, and Guns N' Roses. I'd also put in Sparks here, and a fucklot of other bands.

Led Zeppelin and the Beatles were both incredibly amazing bands, but when I first listened to Pink Floyd, chills went down my spine. My entire view on music changed from that moment.
I also didn't like Black Sabbath as much as these other three bands, and OP missed a lot of other bands.
