what the fuck does this have to do with fitnessThe section is "Sports and Fitness" fishing is considered a sport, and also have you ever been deep sea fishing? Saying that doesn't take fitness is well a lie.
no actually, but i really want to someday.
If you do, than prepare for an extreme fight if you get a fish.
Those fights can take hours depending on the species of fish, the size of the fish, the size of the boat, the captain of the boat, and your gear.

I went sturgeon fishing when I lived in OR, and it took me nearly an hour and a half to land a 450 pound sturgeon. That was the greatest trip of my life.

I may go next year, so maybe I can catch one again.

When I was younger, I would go fishing quite a lot, and quite good at it. I still fish when I can now, but don't get to do it as much as I'd like to, unfortunately.

So do you guys prefer bait or tackle?I use bait for deep sea fishing or fishing at the beach, and tackle for fresh water fishing.
Fishing brings back good childhood memories.

I haven't went fishing for over a year now and I miss it. I've been wanting to go for the past few months, but I don't have a fishing license so I can't. Since there's less than half a year now I guess I'll wait until 2013 to get one.... maybe.

I like to fish but it's not worth the 50 bucks plus report cards and tags. I usually fish off the pier in moro or capitola once a year and try to do a 2 day license for sturgeon in the Delta and abalone in the north.

Ever heard of a Sabiki rig? It's a small rig with six hooks that have a small bit of decoration and glow underwater.
Spoiler:
They're great for catching bait fish. There has yet to be a time when I put one in the water and don't bring anything up on it.

Can't fish with a lure with more then three hooks or a line pole with more then 3 hooks on it. Unless you sea fishing. There a setup Called a cali rig

It's just easier to buy a second pole tag and have a drag hook line and have a knife handy before the popo comes.

Beautiful fish though. I'll post what I get in two days.

I take it that means you fish using a regular J hook rather than a circle hook?

Last time I was out fishing was 2004. At a fishing contest on Iceland. I won for smallest fish got 2 trophies and a nokia for it. I have a lot of people that are crazy about fishing in my family so it won't take long until they invite me.

I mainly use the sea striker rig aka old dominion rig.
Spoiler:
Usually get some croakers, spot, and once in awhile sea mullet.
