Flour in omelletes

I ran across a couple of recipes that included flour for omelletes.

Wouldn't that turn an omellete into a pancake?

not really unless there is more flour than egg otherwise is just a floured omelet

Ive never heard of flour being used in the creation of omelettes!

Are the omelet recipes french origin? Some french ones use flour.

Depends on what type of flour you're using and how you're using it. Some flours might compliment an omelet very nicely.
Eg using cornflour mixed with milk to thicken and puff the egg further.
