Freestyle Rapping

Any Fakku users here who's got an interest in freestyle rapping?
I'm a freestyle rapper and I've been in local competitions.

I tried freestyle rapping a long time ago. Didn't take me long to figure out I should quit before anyone other than myself hears any of it, lol. It's much easier to ad-lib on a song which isn't as fast as rapping.
I've been to some hip-hop concerts which featured freestyling. I can remember one time the artist let the audience pick a handful of topics for him to rap about. It was a ton of fun to witness.

So how is that? Do you get nervous?

Does the nervousness ever dissipate, or is it like that before every competition?

No, especially when your opponents are Big wigs, like veterans or a known artist.
Sometimes, you'll think that these guys got a lot of better spit (lyrics) than you, after gaining the upper hand, it becomes easy meat. Especially when they ran out of lyrics.

Who are like some of the most famous rappers you've taken on?
And what city do you live in, I wonder. B/c I imagine it must be a big market to attract big wigs.

I live in the Philippines. Most of those veterans are not that known. They're only known within the Underground circle.

[font=Verdana][color=green]Can't say I do. I never got the appeal of rapping in the first place, let alone freestyle. Doesn't suit me at all =/

Haven't done it since Highschool. Was fairly decent at it.
Dunno. Rap lost its appeal to me. Perhaps simply because it's been assimilated by the younger generation, and the majority of them are just complete douchebag kids, so I decided to sever ties and leave it behind.
I don't mean to generalize, but any area that's populated mainly by pricks I tend to stay away from.
