Just wanted to share some of my pictures, only shot with a kit lens 18-55mm. I'm still just starting, I'm mostly interested in landscape and especially macro photography. Hoping I can buy lenses soon. Adding more later.

Where's the rule of third? Don't just blatantly put the subject in the middle, better idea would be to have less flower stem and more background.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'll try to improve my skills since I still have a lot to learn about compositions.

It's not a hard and fast rule but a great guideline for those starting out.
Though I reckon it would look better as a square crop.
OP great shot specially for someone starting out. If you're interested in macro save for the Canon 100mm f/2.8 L it won't disappoint you.

Yep, I'm used to centering subjects so it ended up like that :( Anyway, I'm not yet sure what camp I will be settling on, since I have a Canon and Nikon :P

Added more, thinking if I'll upload the same ones or other subjects. I hotlinked the images from my profile in 500px, and I'm sure that's not a good thing. Should I just link my profile then?

I do have one, although I'm doing it wrong. When I link the image here, the photo does not appear, a little image with X on it. Can you help me please? :)

Don't hotlink but use the share options, it gives you forum bb code that you can copy paste into your posts.
