From HDD to SSD install in a fresh laptop
0
I've been going though a lot of sites looking into how to install a SSD into an Asus G75VW-AS71. I am a total noob when it comes to laptops, installing OS and formatting so I am not quite sure how to start.
The SSD I've chosen is the Samsung 840 Series Solid State Drive (SSD) 250 sata_6_0_gb 2.5-Inch MZ-7TD250BW.
I've looked through the Republic of Gamers forum and haven't found a clear and easy method for a person at my level.
So to be clear, how do I install a SSD into a brand new laptop. Do I have to install the OS on the provided HDD when it first boots up, then somehow swap it with the SSD, or do I have to get an install CD for the new drive?
Thanks

There are two ways to do this, one involves "cloning" (a form or copying where your preserve the main-boot record, etc.) the other is a clean reinstallation of the OS.
I can only guarantee that the later will work.
Here are some tutorial on how to do the cloning:

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/149969-ssd-install-transfer-operating-system.html
For the later, you're going to need a Windows install disc. A recovery disc won't suffice and if your laptop came preinstalled, it might be hard to get one.
If you go this way, it's possible to cleanly move user profiles during the OOBE portion of install. This is done either to reduce the number of writes to the SSD (extending its life), or to gain more space (as the user profile can grow pretty large). Read more here:

well some laptops cannot be changed by hardware.
it was made so it works completely fine and fast on a system.
it is the same as pc that you buy from: hp, acer, apple, asus, and others
they cannot be changed that easily.
bto laptops are an different story you can custom them to your liking.
custom pc's are cheaper and faster and you can have more for the same price.

Please stop spouting bullshit, one can reinstall the OS on those laptops just fine as long as you know what you are doing.
On another note, while your struggle with the English language may be forgivable your total lack of punctuations isn't. Please rectify your conduct.
