so several of my pc games and all of my visual novels don't ever run full screen. I will change the in game options to full screen but it just keeps the same small size and with a huge black border surrounding it. I remember getting these games to play full screen before but I forgot what I did. I don't think it has to do with my computers screen resolution and I have already tried running them in comparability mode. so what do you think I should do?

works for me.. might have to re program your hotkeys for it.

on the game screen menu look for this フルスクリーン check/click or toogle to it.. it's full screen.

Are you using Windows 7? If so, your issue is probably related to how the aspect-ratio is defined on your system and that may be also related to the drivers that you are using.

That's something that happened to me using a Intel and a NVidia graphic card.
With the NVidia graphic card I think that I changed the aspect-ratio definitions.
With my Intel graphic card I replaced the drivers with the ones for Windows Vista.

After that I had no problems with those black bars.

Which graphic card are you using?

After much trouble shooting I managed to solve the problem. It had to do with the drivers and settings on my graphics card. But thanks for the help

Why does it matter? The issue was solved.
