Don't vote if you haven't watched both series.
title says it all;
TTGL fanboy? or are you with the GLOURIOUS GETTER ROBO MASTERRACE?

As much as I liked TTGL, Getter is still better for me.
Whether it's the manga or the OVAs, I just love them.
For instance, I can't stop listening to the Armageddon soundtrack. It's easily one of the sexiest soundtracks I've ever listened to.

I'm still a TTGL fanboy, despite having exposure to Getter. However, TTGL would not exist without Getter, so I know to give credit where it is due and Getter does have more stories compared to TTGL...

You'd be surprised at just how little people have watched Getter. Not even the OVAs are as popular as they seem to be (at least in the English-speaking world; the Spanish-speaking people like me have watched Getter since their infancy hehe).

I thinks it's more a matter of a boring post in this case. However If you know anything about mecha then you should know what Getter is, that's what I think. It makes me sad though how the majority of the English speaking countries know so little about it even considering TTGL would never exist without the Getter rays.

Getter for life. Though TTGL was a good anime, I just plain liked the nostalgia feel that comes with the Getter series. Also I find the songs are more catchy in Getter.

I'm really glad an older series such as Getter Robo is well known amongst fellow english speakers.
Well, I'll be honest with this one because you guys seem to know your stuff aren't aren't biased toward a specific series.
I've been into Getter Robo for a while now. It's obviously manly and the story is brilliant. It's inspirational and unleashes your inner man.
TTGL does the same, but it's for a wider audience.
I started watching TTGL after watching Getter Robo, and to be fair with this one, I like TTGL because it's much easier contained than Getter Robo which has at least 3 continuities. It's easier for me to watch TTGL. The characters are lovable, there are plenty of happy moments, life lesson moments, sad moments, and FAN SERVICE.
But Getter Robo will always be there when you want to feel badass.
I will go with Gurren Lagann. I'm not biased towards the classics-- I love them.
As I said though, TTGL is easier for me to get into and the characters are just lovable.
On a side note, has anyone else gotten into Getter Robo due to SRW? Just curious.
