At least the movie has Edgar Wright behind it, who adds a stylistic flair not present in the third grade doodles of the comics, and probably toned down some of the VIDEO GAMES!!!! stuff.
the SP game looks cool mostly due to the pixel art of Paul Robertson and the fact that it's a retro 2d beat-em-up, a genre I loved that's all but died out.
basically, looking forward to game and movie, comics can get bent and so can everyone who likes them.

i see the movie... it good but it a hollowood( becasue every one in hollywood is hollow inside)made movie. it like terminator salvation and how mcg fuck it up, when you take a good story and add to much fx and cgi not for the dramatic effect but to tell the story it fucks it up.. but the movie is better than salvation
