Well with all these Gundam titles coming out: Gundam 00 Movie, Gundam Unicorn, might as well scrap the SEED movie. At this point there's really no point in continuing production with no update what so ever.
My Japanese is nil, and I can't translate the text from an image file using web tool. So I'm not sure what format it's coming out. Sorry about that ^^;
The director is Kazuhiro Furuhashi (å¤æ©‹ä¸€æµ© - never involved in any Gundam anime production in the past). The script will be from Yasuyuki Muto (ã‚€ã¨ã†ã‚„ã™ã‚†ã - Afro Samurai the Movie, Sengoku Basara etc), character design by Kumiko Takahashi (高橋久美å - Cardcaptor Sakura etc) based on Yoshikazu Yasuhiko (安彦良和)'s design from the novel.
Kunio Okawara-sensei is involved in the production team as well. ^^ Also involved in the mecha design are:
- Hajime Katoki (of course ^^),
- Yoshinori Sayama (ä½å±±å–„則 - Gundam Wing, Gundam X, Char's Counterattack, Patlabor the Movie 1, 2, and 3, Macross Frontier etc.),
- Junya Ishigaki (石垣純哉 - Gundam Wing, Gundam X, Victory Gundam, Macross Frontier etc.),
- Nobuhiko Genba (玄馬宣彦 - Fullmetal Alchemist: The Movie).
Also involved is Shinya Ogura (å°å€‰ä¿¡ä¹Ÿ - graphic designer for Gundam EVOLVE).

I must be one of the few to actually like the Gundam SEED franchise and yet hate the UC series. Even Turn A Gundam in my opinion was a far better series than say Z Gundam. I'm still hoping for a Gundam SEED movie in any case.

Plot
Universal Century (UC) 0133. Ten years after the events of the Cosmo Babylon Wars depicted in F91, 13 year-old protagonist Tobia Arronax is a transfer student from Earth heading to the Jupiter colonies aboard the Smashion Jovian transport ship. When space pirates of the Crossbone Vanguard attacks the Smashion with their ship, the Mother Vanguard, Tobia willingly sorties out in a Jovian mobile suit to hold them off. Unfortunately, he is captured by Crossbone Vanguard ace pilot Kincaid Nau and brought before their leader Berah Ronah, who offers him a choice: either head straight to Jupiter and forget what has happened or join them to discover the "truth". Tobia hesistantly joins with the pirates, but little does he know the Vanguard's agenda is one of resistance than of piracy.
In reality, the Jovians have been secretly building up their military for years, forming the Jupiter Empire, with the goal of Earth Sphere domination. Their ruthless leader Crux Dogatie maintains a façade of partnership with the Earth Federation, so as to avoid suspicion by the Federal government. Learning the truth, Tobia allies with the Crossbone Vanguard, and under Kincaid's tutelage, becomes one of their most prominent pilots, while using the XM-X2 Crossbone Gundam X-3, while slowly developing his Newtype abilities.

I really like that Unicorn, it's like L-Gaim 2, my lost favorite design. I just hope they develop other mech designs too like the enemies and GMs.

It's still not confirmed yet if it's going to be an anime series or a movie. Anyone who has confirmation please let us know and where you got the info from.
