Hackers

Oh yeah.. (lol)
I was just wondering are there any hackers out here?
Or does anybody know any good hacking community that won't be a pain in the ass the moment you access their site or get in contact?
I know the question is pretty straight forward but I can't think or find any site that's worthy of looking at.
If you don't wish to share it here but still know sites please do feel free to write me a pm.
Thanks

Because I have no idea where to begin with.. I've tried several keyword searches that I thought would get me somewhere but I ended up nowhere..
Why ask here? Uhm, cause I thought with the amount of people passing through there might just be a chance several people might answer and I can move onwards.
Great answer btw..

(I'm assuming you aren't a programmer already, if you are, I apologise, disregard what I say. I also assume that when you say hacking community, you mean the groups of people who's hobby is to break through the security on a program or computer. Again, if I'm wrong, I'm sorry)
All I can say is: learn how to program before you try to *CRACK*, hacking is not the correct term; cracking is, and it irritates real "hackers" to no end when it's used wrongly.
But yes, at least learn and be fluent (not sure if that's the right word, but hey) in a powerful language such as C, C++, Java, or if you're feeling up to it, assembly. Before you start trying to get in on the cracking community.

You were right to assume at least somewhat.
I am not a programmer, I do have a book of C and a book of C++ and I'm willing to learn but it isn't as easy as one would expect.. especially at the size my C book is.. considering it's a few bricks worth in size..
I think I'm right in saying that I am looking for a hacking community or hackers in general because I don't want programs to be cracked, which is what crackers would do.
I'm looking for people with the ability to access foreign computers or access websites and take control of the host computer or login as administrators there without actually being admins. To my knowledge hackers can be both good and bad but their main difference from crackers is that they don't specialize in just programs but more in general getting access to foreign things. Correct me if I'm wrong. Well I'm still looking..
@Tegumi: What's up with that picture..?

All people (usually loudly) claiming to be "hackers" are script kiddies with too much time on their hands and overt narcissistic tendencies.
Meanwhile, real hackers are busy writing PhDs, actually *hacking* things, or holding conferences: http://www.defcon.org/

^ This. Except a lot of crackers and script kiddies still go to defcon.

Well at least I got a point to start at.
Thanks a lot (:

Yeah, but the kiddies are not the ones holding the presentations. At least they get a look at what real know-how is (or in my case a look at how little I know :D)
