Hairy, fuzzy type men. Asset to Dames or Menace to Society?

Well gang, here is the deal.
The dudes in my immediate family are generally the fuzzy 70s Burt Reynolds/Tom Selleck type and I inherited that.
Now I read on the web and magazines more and more guys are expunging themselves of the body hair as apparently it's a turn off to most women?
Is this true? Are all hairy guys doomed now? It's wierd because before the 1980s, this didn't seem like a huge deal. Or am I over thinking it?

You're overthinking it. It depends on every woman's taste. Also, if a girl likes you, it won't bother her~
I normally preffer not too fuzzy and hairy, but if i like the guy, it won't bother me.

You're overthinking it.
If you think you're too hairy, then get out shaved/removed.
Otherwise, don't worry about it.
If you like your looks, then other chicks are gonna have to accept it.

Thanks, I was basically leaning toward the later. I may do something for the public hair if I want any "favors". Otherwise, I generally like the way I look and realized that guys like me have been getting some for a millenia. Seems silly that just because some ladies have hard on for baby face Brad Pitt type skin that I'd have to get on the bandwagon.
I mean we're DUDES. But need I digress, thanks. Oh and Joyeux Noel and all that jazz.

I have no hair (chest is completely hair free. have some hair on my shoulders, but like a few hairs here and there.. nothing bad) and the gf loves it.
I'd say keep it, and when you find a girl you like/ likes you (assuming you're not showing off your hair) ask her if she prefers hairy chests or bar chests.. if she prefers bare, and you think you'll go a long way, wax. that kinda shit

I really really don't like the growing trend of male hair removal. The male physique looks just plain WRONG when hairless.
However, excessive body hair is also a turn-off. My advice is to keep yourself tidy. Hair in the places you, as a man, SHOULD HAVE IT. Back hair is usually a deal-breaker for women, so be sure to keep that area under control. As for everywhere else... as long as I can tell what your skin color is, you're fine.
It's all about moderation. Look like a healthy human male, not a yeti, and not a gimp.

Menace to Society?
That's a bit extreme isn't it?
Having been a tad overweight all my life, my body hair grew early. I was the first in my year at school to grow hair on my body at all, (except the arms, everyone had hair on their arms) now I've got pretty hairy legs and an even hairier chest. Facial hair was the last thing to grow for me. I also have odd long bits of hair on my shoulders and of course, I also have pubes.
Some girls like hair on a guy and as some users have stated, some girls think a hairless guy is just plain weird. It's a case of whether a girl is suitable for you, and her preferences in a guy. If she can't accept how you look, then right off the bat she's not the one for you. You shouldn't have to change yourself to get a girl to go out with you or to keep a relationship alive, provided you're not a total cunt.

I have the manliest patches ever. From my belt line to 3 inches above my belly button, I have a patch of hair in the shape of a thick christmas tree. In between my pecs lies a thin but wide diamond of hair. My arms and most of the top of my hands are hairy. My legs are a forest.

I think hairy men are nice! Sure, at first I panicked at the sight of hair on a guy, but my current boyfriend has a really hairy chest... and I love it! It's wonderful to trace your fingers against a nice tuft of hair, and nuzzle your face against it... It just takes a girl that genuinely likes you to be open to learning to like that part of you, too. Back hair, however... is another matter altogether, but I guess it can be tolerated. >__>;

James' chest tuft is in the shape of a sparrow in flight.
It's totally asymmetrical, but I love it. >//w//
