Has anyone used dried shrimp in foil packets?

I do a nice shrimp ramen foil packet but was considering changing it to use it to use dried shrimp to be more portable. Would add the ramen and shrimp and veggies and spices before leaving and then adding the liquids at the final destination. Just want some opinions on the viability of dried shrimp.

I have absolutely zero experience on this subject but fresher is probably better

Oh Fresh is always better. I was looking for something transportable. Thought dried shrimp with the ramen and dried mushrooms would make a great transportable item since I could add hydrating liquids at the destination.
