Have you ever thought about death within the forums?

Has it ever occurred to you that someone you've lol'ed with, fought with, held an intelligent debate with, or stayed up all night talking to on skype with may not be posting anymore not because they don't have the time for it but they actually died?

I agree with you!
What makes you think that way??
But I gotta admit it might happen to some people, God knows who it is though

My cat is sick and I'm scared it's dying of renal failure. I was browsing the forums while its laying in the corner of my room and I was thinking about how someone can be there one day, and gone the next.

Oooooooohhhhhhh, that makes more sense now.
Even though it is possible, the lot of us are young and aren't suffering from any terminal illnesses (that I know of), so I don't think you have much to worry about, unless one of us ends up veing real unlucky somehow.

Yes, it is possible for someone to be healthy one day and died 5 minutes later.
Who knows...

I've somewhat considered it but how exactly would we know that the affiliated is now deceased as we generally are one layer friends whose only connection is a few memorable conversations, and as such, mourn or care?

For the most part, the lot of us are disconnected, so its not like we would know or anything.

Actually on the Lunia forums the guild leader of the number 1 guild stopped posting one day(that guy was a regular poster) and a few days later it turns out he was murdered. Guy's IGN was MMOKami, can't remember his real name though.

My job has the fourth highest death rate among all occupations, so who knows.
One of my buddies damn near cut his finger off on the table saw yesterday, and the foreman fell off the scaffolding a month ago (survived- we were only one story up. Hurt his back, though).

I actually have all my forum accounts/passwords written in my will.
When I die, it will be posted on this forum, hopefully.

It was deleted after the game closed. Well, the company account is still there until the world ends or the company shuts down.

I haven't thought about that though you certainly never know. Probably don't worry about it since I rarely get on people's backs about things. But that's one of the things that can happen, lose track of someone and don't know why.

this sounds like something that would happen in a comedy show
I haven't been on a same forum for more than 4 years, so I would never consider that possibility

I like to consider you all my comrades and friends (in lieu of any real companions), And so am slightly disturbed when such an event happens, even if we didn't know eachother that well. I think that, by us being here in the first place, we know eachother enough to be upset when someone dies. This sort of thing has happened to me twice, once on 4chan and someone who played on my minecraft server. I found my heart weakened after both. I need something to love, so i guess i'll love all of you. No homo.
