·maybe a detachable mic (not important)
·over the ear headphones with mic
·I am going to use them both on my computer and in my mp3 player
·Durable
·From $50-100

If you have enough money
Beats by Dr. Dre
Very ballin' headphones. Built in subwoofers do an amazing job with the bass. And it's one of the best noise-cancelling headphones out there.
Bose
Bose got the reputation for their headphones. Just look up some models.
If you are a poorfag
Skullcandy
Especially... k fuck I can't find the name or the picture of this.
But it's a headphone with built in subwoofers. You need a AA battery for this, but for the price of $50, the quality is AMAZING.

Well guess imma poorfag.
The ones I use: Skullcandy SCS-SCBP3.5 Skullcrushers Subwoofer Stereo Headphones (Black Pinstripe)
I find it pretty good. A little tight around my fat head, but the sound quality for the price paid is very satisfying. As GoodDay said, it requires one AA battery for the subwoofer to work. It doesn't include a microphone though.

OP here's what I said in a headphones/earphones thread:
For on the go listening definitely earbuds for the portability, or smaller headphones if you don't mind a bit of bulk.
My suggestions for headphones:
Sennheiser
AKG
Audio Technica
Alessandro
Ultimate Ears
Beyerdynamic
Remember to read reviews before paying for your investment.
Also if you have the chance go and test the headphones out as sound is subjective. One set might sound good to me but sound rubbish to someone else.
There are some good suggestions here in the headphones vs earphones thread.
I really wish we had a search feature that works :|

For listening at home good quality headphones are great use the open headphones for longer periods of time since they're much more comfortable to wear for a few hours I've got a pair of HD Sennheiser 555s great cans and very comfortable if you don't mind the open nature of the design. For on the go listening definitely earbuds for the portability, or smaller headphones if you don't mind a bit of bulk.

http://us.store.creative.com/Sound-Blaster-Tactic3D-Sigma/M/B0041OMWNY.htm - Order here. $80 for a limited time.

There is a reason these are normally $160. They are not over-priced brand name headphones that claim to have new technology built-in which has, in fact, been standard practice since 2006 in any pair of headphones ranging over $75. Having built-in sub woofers in a pair of headphones is not new technology.
The microphone sounds crisp and clear. These babies have a 50mm Neodymium magnet, 10mm larger than most other headphones currently on market and 10mm larger than Beats. Admittedly you may not find these normally $160 dollar headphones (40% off right now with free shipping and next business day delivery.) comfier than Dre's $350 ones, but what more can you ask for when you have a steel core headband that provides maximum durability? With software that lets you customize damn near every aspect of your audio playback, you'll be making sure the game and music you're listening to sounds just the way you want it. The mic is detachable.
I own both. I'm an audio freak. When I'm out and about or on a plane I have to admit, I prefer using Beats. You just can't beat studio level noise-cancellation technology on those days when you want to shut out the world (Except when using BOSE, aircraft carrier level noise cancellation), however; you don't need studio level noise-cancellation when you're sitting in your chair at home playing games and using a voice chat program. Tactic3D headphones are built specifically for virtualizing positional audio for games and they do it extremely well because of that. These headphones are a first person shooter dream.
I have noticed no audio quality difference between Beats and Sigma when listening to most high-quality VBR MP3 audio or lossless audio. Both headphones have the exact same frequency range. That being 20Hz ~ 20kHz. The major difference when listening to music is that when using Beats, because of the noise cancellation technology, you will hear everything caught during studio recording and, sometimes, it does lead to better sounding music. You do not pay for "better sound" when buying a pair of Beats headphones. You pay for studio level noise cancellation.
Seriously though, if you want pricey noise cancellation technology. Go with BOSE. Their headphones don't rest on the ear and while a fair bit more uncomfortable, someone sitting next to you won't be able to hear the music coming from your headphones. Beats is honestly all about hearing everything the guys in the studio do, that's what they were made for and that's what they are priced for. Mid-high quality product for it's price, at best.
Skullcandy headphones and Earbuds suck. I highly recommend going with a completely different company for audio. They are the Nike of audio playback. A shitty product that's been overpriced because it has a brand name on it.

-Sub-par noise cancellation at best, the headphones rest on your ear allowing a more direct route for outside noise to enter your ear canal. BOSE headphones do not have this problem.
Bose
Bose got the reputation for their headphones. Just look up some models.
-BOSE got their reputation because they provide aircraft sound equipment, not because of their consumer headphones.

I bought a cheap pair of AKG K81 DJ and they sound great.
Probably one of the best headphones you can pick up for under 100USD.
Some noise canceling. It doesn't really leak sound and they are small and can fold up.

Seriously do not listen to GD. SkullCandy's are the WORST THING you can buy. Their sound quality is over bloated with bass and sound like shit. And Bose? DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THEM. Bose aren't bad but they're REALLY REALLY overpriced for what you get and you can buy far superior for the money you spend on them,.
If you need some portable headphones yet work good with the computer i'd recommend either the Alessandro MS-1's or the Dennon D1001's. Alessandro's are better for every sort of music a part from bass heavy but will require an amp for computing use. Dennon's are not as good as the alessandro's with mids and highs but have better bass so better for computing use but not for music., doesn't need an amp for the computer but is highly recommended. Alessandro's are also more portable than the Dennon's but both are quite portable headphones.

Fine what about the Denon AH-D310's, the Denon AH-D310R, or the Sennheiser HD 202

Sennheisers are good. But it all depends on the buyers and their uses of the headphones.
I personally listen to songs with beats so Skullcandy is a perfect one for me.
You need to go in detail what kind of songs you like to listen to and stuff like that.

OP go to an audio visual store (a decent one) and go listen to them.
Also read reviews of the products you're thinking of buying and then make an informed decision. Instead of just buying the first cheap thing that comes up.
Like I said in the headphones/earphones thread and in my previous post: sound is subjective one set can sound awesome to me but rubbish to you.
Though again there are headphones that are universally agreed upon as crap.
Edit: The HD555s are apparently HD595s in disguise. They both use the same audio drivers (speakers) the only difference is some padding inside the 555s that reduces low range performance (bass).
You can take them out like I did and enjoy better low range.
