help unpacking/opening this file

It's an .img file. Created in the year 2000.
Found in the CG directory of the game "VG Max"

If you successfully "mounted" it , provide me a screenshot of the content(s) inside.

Hmm, the file is only 300Kb, most likely something is wrong with the size. Even 12 years ago, cd's were not burned for so few data.

It's probably just a corrupted file if you can't mount it.

Edit: Tried mounting. Windows says the file is corrupted (which could be for a variety of reasons).

I think they were .cel/.wk* format disguised as .img files.

You can find here a fuckload of .img files.

Refer to my post above it. Those .img files aren't corrupted if they work fine on the game.
