Consider it as if the world would explode.
Since different countries have different time zones, would it spread across the globe from left to right?
It could not possibly explode all at once! Then some days would be the 20th, others 22nd.

One could say that it was the Mayans who did it, but the reality is that they never were wiped out.



That kind of ignorance frustrates me. The Mayans knew their culture was in danger of being wiped out due to war and natural disaster, so they chose to abandon their cities. Their are descendants of the Mayans still living today.
