How do you remove search queries?

So I use google chrome, hate if you must, and for about a year now whenever I type into a random search bar other than google I get a list of.... Well let's just say some stuff I never put in there, or ever wanted in there. It's my computer so I can do as I please, but at the same time I don't exactly want to wipe chrome clean of all of my passwords or bookmarks. If you have any advice please help.
