I download, because (at least for me) I have issues with streaming anime; the stream often stays stuck at the loading menu, frequently pauses and reloads, among other such. Ergo, I download.
However! If there is an anime that I intensely like then I will buy it. I did this once, I do not regret my decision... and the sudden emptiness of my wallet.

I download 99% of the time except on the rare occasion I find something really rare and/or degrading the value.

I just buy hard drives and download the animes. I only stream if the anime is either too long or too big or not worth rewatching. E.g. Naruto is just too big of a series so I just watch stream, gundam unicorn where the episodes are an hour each... -.-'.

i dont have a credit card so i cant buy anime online even if i did have enough money to buy everything i watch. but when i see a anime i watched or plan to watch in a store i buy it. i feel that you have to support the industry so how even if you have a hard time buying the dvds

I usually enjoy buying it or downloading it to a disk or USB, so there is always a physical copy of it. That way I can enjoy it on a laptop on the go, without the limitation of internet connection reliance. That and they're usually a little higher in quality that streaming (depending on your stream site).

Most of the anime I watch comes from Comcast on- demand. Dude the day I found out that I could watch anime without worrying about my slow-ass Internet connection I fell to my knees and cried. Complaints though are the facts that the selection is limited, half of the shows are pay-per-view, and the shows are only available for a week them they are gone for good.

I would buy anime. But I'm poor.
I would download anime, but I don't have that much free space on my hard drive.
So I stream anime most of the time.
I would never think of not watching anime

I download. Either via torrent or DDL (if no seeds available).
Sometimes, I copy from my friends or my colleagues who watch anime.
