I think the answer for most people here is "too much", regardless of location.
Serious answer: It fluctuates between anywhere from 2.50$ to 2.89$ these days.

Lets see... I last filled up at 2.30 a gallon
If you live any where near a Kroger Grocery Store and they have a Fuel station buying your groceries there can help out on your gas. Considering I have one of their 123 rewards master cards and get $0.15 off of a gallon of gas with the fuel points system they use when I spend 100 dollars in the store which is basically 1 a week.

Sucks that I commute to school 5 days a week 45 minutes away. Make that 6 days of the week and I operate on the same schedule as you do.
Some weekends (like this one) I have debate practices/research. So yeah, 6-7 days sometimes. Makes me rage...

Fucking $1.13 per litre. Fucking Vancouver.lol we only have like a 5 cent difference I guess we should consider ourselves lucky.
But you got to take into account Vancouver is huge and has a high population of around 611,869 while where I live there is about 106,707 people so that little price difference is not that bad depending on how far you have to commute each day. My mom used to take up to an hour just to get to her job half way across the city before I was born but she took the sky train so I can see why gas would eventually bite you in the wallet after a while.

Since I don't drive, I don't really take note of the prices.
However, I am curious as to whether the market operated by the various companies in different countries is indeed an oligopoly. In other words, are there only a handful of these petrol companies in your country, and if one firm raises or lowers the price of petrol, will its competitors follow suit?
Lastly, I guess the term differs depending on the country we live in - either gas or petrol.

One station raises, within 30 minutes, most stations around it will raise. Diff story with lowering prices. Cost more during long weekends, Holidays, Mornings, and instantly spikes when there's a potential oil supply issue (aka Hurricane in the Caribbean). Usually takes a good few days before they will drop in prices.
and to answer question.
$1.15 a litre or
$4.35 a gallon
Europe is pretty damn expensive, but North America gets less explosive juice here, only up to 94 and that goes up to $1.40 a litre

$2.57 at the moment (As of like two hours ago when I was at a nearby station)
And I've seen it anywhere from $2.35 (Very very briefly) to $2.90
20 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.
