how to deal with family around the holidays.

But i actually like some of my family, and we're usually all drunk and celbrating so i just hang with the relatives who i like

I just ignore everyone who is bugging me by going up to my room and blast heavy metal music and make a list on who to get back on. For example my sister really pissed me off so i got the item she really wanted, kept the item, and then filled the box with coal with the label from Santa to crush her insignificant little dreams in a safe way i couldn't get in trouble for.

That's brilliantly devious. Did she ever find out?

Anyway, almost every year we go to my sister's house to celebrate Christmas. Since I don't like to be around too much (don't like those kind of parties that much since it pretty much is), I tend to tolerate it until its over. Sometimes I go out of the house to a quiet place and look the stars or something.

Yeah, the think I'm weird but hell who doesn't?

I got a simple solution for that kind of a problem

..... Why dont you avoid them in a basement

That's dumb. If you make it too obvious by hiding in the basement, then they're going to come into the basement and ask why you're in the basement, and most likely drag you to the above-ground hell that is the holiday party.

how i deal with holidays when ANY family member comes: if its new years(my family holds the celebration for like 3 fkin days) i go get my self a plate fill it up with a shit loada food go down to the basement turn on my ipod, turn my xbox on play for a hr sleep and dont talk 2 any 1 christmas: this is when EVERY1 stays over = .= with every step i take i feel the urge to throw them all outta the house the basement is used like 4 ppl in there MY room used so heres the best thing of all go to 7 11 stay mad late get home every1s asleep eat some food kick my cousin off the couch and bring him to his mom, sleep on the couch in the morning show every1 the sleeping cousin and his mom and we have the next mornings drama done

oh and all u gotta do is this: say ur going over 2 a friends house instead go 2 a park freak some kids out, go home every1s either drunk or sleeping only 1s awake are my little cousins lock my cousins in a room( its easier said than done but totally worth it) make sure to take every1s presents open and repackage with the stuff already used :)put some wrapping paper in he room where all my cousins are locked up lock it again go 2 sleep next day there all gone cause my cousins were bad and cant stay :) and all that food they brought over all mine :)

Well depends on the holiday if its xmas were talking about then it's partying left and right mostly sleeping over in my girls house or with my mates whoever has a free house then on actual xmas I celebrate it with my family (unless their working) which if they were then I celebrate it with my girl.

And then afterwards (25th dec) more partying.

I would say "I've got too much work to do!"
Bad thing is, this year I DO have too much work to do. >_>
Came back to bite me in the ass.

I just remain quiet if something goes wrong and an argument starts.

Keeping quiet is the best way as it doesn't fuel anything.

I don't see my family often, so I'm always happy to see them, and when we argue...we do it right lol, shouting and throwing stuff at each other -mostly food- (I swear, my mom never misses lol), but it never lasts long, and we're all happy together a few hours later.

Well, i live alone so that doesn't count i guess.

I will just spend my time preparing the document so i can take Major Project though.
Or else, sleeping all day.

i found myself a working solution, or a temporary fix anyway, im staying with my aunt for a few days here to cool down, and hopefully when i get back i wont want to disembody anyone.

Avoid like the plague.

Luckily, my mother is pretty cool about me basically not making a big deal outta Christmas. It can get a little tense, sometimes, but I just say my opinion, and there's nothing she can really do.

Of course, I do lend a helping hand, here and there.
