Hug Pillows (Dakimakuras) with Anime Characters Imprinted...

If you have been shopping for anime related products recently, then you would have noticed that hug pillowcases with anime characters, particularly females in sexually suggestive positions, have been appearing on the market.
Some of them are highly sought after, with prices reaching more than a hundred dollars on ebay (or so I heard), while others come along as promotional materials. Dengeki G's Festival is one such magazine that offers these hug pillowcases in the entire package for particular issues. (On a sidenote, G's Festival is an expensive magazine, which I have never been able to afford.)

[color=red]Are these hug pillowcases more socially acceptable as compared to sex dolls and other sex toys? Are you people intending to obtain one or are they already lying on your bed? :mrgreen: Share your thoughts and opinions on this topic![/color]

They remind me of the Rei/Asuka comforters I've seen awhile back now. Heh, not my thing. I'm also not sure how one could explain having one of those to a date/non-otaku friend while still looking somewhat sane.

Number one reason why I don't have one, lol. If I'm a 50 year old man living by myself with no friends, wife, or girlfriend then it's time for the hug pillows XD

If I wanted to spend money on something that was only going to perpetuate my isolation, I think I would rather save up for something worthwhile that would last longer than a pillowcase, like a male "Real Doll".

i saw that documentary and i wouldn't want one of those. a mannequin with replaceable parts living with me? sleeping with me? staying in the same fucking room with me? that's scary. doesn't help that i have an innate fear of mannequins, either. i'd spend the time and money looking for a real girl, one that doesn't need different faces, replaceable tongues, daily enemas, and doesn't smell like plastic or silicone or plastic mixed with silicone. maybe like a mail order bride.

i think one pillow case would be cool, y'know. for novelty's sake. i guess.

As for me, I doubt I'll ever get one of these said pillows. Never really a fan of fancy or colorful pillows to begin with, much less having one that's the same size as me and latching onto it like its the last chopper out of Vietnam....

Not a Pillow fan in general. When for like 2 months without even one for my head before i got around to getting a new one.
