I Quit

I have been trying to improve the food and cooking section since 2009 and it has been to no avail. So now I've decided not post in here anymore because I strongly believe that this section is just becoming spam central. I have deleted most of my posts and recipes in here also my threads.
But i am still willing to help you guys with stuff if you just PM me with your question.

You can't force people to do something they don't want to. The same goes for you too, right? This is a "Food" and Cooking section. It is not only intended for cooking related topics.

I have an idea...let's have a monthly recipe-making contest? Has to start in January though, since December is almost over.

I kinda of agree with Long here.
Then again, living in America, 90% of my friends of my age don't cook.
I don't know about other people of my age around the world, but I'm guessing it's quite similar. Most people only start to learn how to cook when they start to have their own family (that includes my mom). And I can understand that. Cooking for some people is in fact not even close to a hobby, but a hassle. I believe close to 50% of people don't like cook. Not to mention actually try to post anything about cooking on a porn site thread.
p.s. I like the cooking contest idea, I've already developed some of my unique cooking recipes and pretty proud of them myself.
Eventually I want to open a Cafe as my part time job.
p.s. Also, we need more interesting polls or topics, instead of something like "what's for dinner?" Well, I had breast milk for dinner, and you?

A cooking contest might be fun. A theme for cooking every week (eg seafood or eggs) and post pics up. Have some critic and judging by other members etc.

If we start in January, it gives us a couple of weeks to get things prepared i.e. how it will be judged, themes etc etc. Possible themes could be; seafood, winter warmers, budget cooking etc etc.
I fully support this idea.

i talked to her about this it would be judged off plate design and recipe. If you used your own recipe it's a plus if you made something difficult it's a plus. I think knife cuts should also be a factor.

So should we assume a date for the picture posting? Actually we should give it a week so people can be more flexible with their schedule. Like a week after January 1st to be the deadline of picture submission. (and with pictures of process of making it)

Actually, from now on, ask your questions on the Top Chef Fakku official thread, so we keep it all in one place.
