If the Shoe Were On the Other Foot

So I was listening to music and letting my mind wander (well I don't have to let it, it does that on its own >_>) and I ended up thinking about the American version of Akira... that might have the sparkly vampire guy in it...
And so I wondered, how come they don't make anime remakes of American shows or movies? Then I thought, "oh, well the people who make anime have more class then to do that." I brought this up with my friend and he was all "They did! Remember that anime version of the Count of Monte Cristo that you showed me?" And then I said "That doesn't really count seeing as how it was a book before it was made into a movie." But yeah, what if the shoe was on the other foot? What if people made anime remakes of American stuff? I highly doubt that the anime version of the movie wouldn't be bad like the American version of the anime. I think it'd be interesting to see an anime version of certain movies because they could do so much more than live action can handle in most cases. Personally I'd like to see an anime version of Inception and Scott Pilgrim vs the World. Don't get me wrong, those were great movies! (I liked Scott Pilgrim more). But yeah, if the shoe was on the other foot, what are some movies or even shows that you'd like to see an anime version of?

I guess you haven't heard of/seen the anime versions of Iron Man, Wolverine, and X-Men. There's even an anime version of Powerpuff Girls and Supernatural. And there's also Metropolis, which was made into a popular anime movie. Then again, the original film was German, not American, so take that as you will.

Well I'm mainly talking about movies. Those were comics first, I believe. As far as Supernatural goes, I had no idea. lol
