I'm living a dream

Ever since I first watched Toonami, I was curious about Japan. When Tom died and the ship was rebuilt (the contest for which part would be built first), I wanted to go Japan. Now... now I'm here, and I'm happy. Granted it's not as I expected, but I still have that feeling of contentment. Feels good having accomplished something that you've wanted to do for the better part of your life.
So I ask, have any of you had a feeling like this? Maybe not on the same scale, but similar?

Yes I had.
Back when I was in high school, I dreamed of going to Germany. When I was given the opportunity to go on Training, I reached Bremerhaven (in Germany). There, I bought chocolates with hazelnuts, spoke a little german and stuff.
Also, part of that dream is to see what a snow looks like and how does it feel to touch it (I'm in a country where we don't experience snow). I fulfilled that when I went to Poland.
It is true that it is quite fulfilling for some of your dreams to come true, even though some just leads to frustration. It makes you see that life isn't as sucky as what it looks like.

I had a dream where I was just lounging under a tree peacefully, a few years later I had the same dream while napping under an oak during a field trap when I was in grade school.

Ive only ever experienced something similar during my summer 2 years ago. I was on a trip with friends to different parts of Germany. The cross between the social aspects of Munich and the serenity of Engelberg was enough to make me realize that there are some things in this world that not only meet your expectations, but can actually open your eyes to new things through experience.
I definitely plan on going back someday
