I'm moving... need help

Planing on moving but still haven't decided where to. I want a city that has an anime convention in or near by. I don't mind the cold but hate the heat and no places where there's tornadoes or really bad stuff like that and in the U.S. I was thinking a major city but I like to hear what you people say about the places you live to help me decide. I have about a year or so to decide I live in California

La sucks but they have three cons, SF has two.. one is yaoi, San diego has the big one.. nice to live.. San Jose is close enough to sf to be a good place. Where i live im three hours from everywhere... except San Diego.. that five plus we have a con too. Central valley Fresno.

San Jose has an anime con i believe. and it's much cheaper to live there than SF.
the bay area has many cities that are all pretty well connected by freeways and public transit. nothing is much more than an hour away by freeway.

I live in Los Angeles. Right near the LA convention center/Staples center where they have AX. I like LA, anime cons, record stores, comic book stores, awesome bookstores (not counting big chain ones like Borders). There's also Hollywood close by. CityWalk is a fun spot. Downtown LA too. There's more I cant remember, I' half asleep at the moment lol.
But I don't just wanna advertise the place I live. If I had to move, I'd pick Germany or Canada.
