I stumbled across this article on Yahoo! News a couple of minutes ago and wanted to share it with you guys. I’m happy that the now reformed skinhead featured in the article, Bryon Widner, has realized the errors of his ways and has permanently erased his hatred-filled past. I wish him and his family all the best.

I'm happy that he's found his love for his fellow man, but it's hard to not make an American History X joke here....

Ohh I read this too today. Glad he could see the errors of his ways, but while I was reading it, I wondered about regular people who get face tattoos.
Like, in the same light as how he was rejected for jobs because of how he looked, does the same happen for young blacks/latinos with face tattoos? I wonder if someone will do an article about that?

I wish him the best, but hate isn't so easily erased. Racism is like drug addiction, you might be able to suppress it, but unless you can become someone else entirely, that shit is going to be a part of you. I was a heroin addict, and even after being clean for over 5 years, and with all the help I'm gotten, I still walk a fine line every day.
Once you've embraced something as a part of your life, you have to go through hell in order to not only change, but to build a new life, being who you feel you should be.

What the fuck is wrong with you people? This guy is, supposedly, attempting to make a major change in his life and all you can do is come up with some bullshit response in support of his decision.
Its a great story, and you can say, "I support his desire to change," as much as you want, but the fact of the matter is, you don't give half of a fuck. It doesn't affect you and you can say all the sympathetic bullshit you want, but how many of you really mean it?
